My favorite part of that article was that the American public has a God given right to protection.....Well, flying isn't a God given right. If you don't like the security measures, don't fly. But please, don't tell us that you 'have' to fly, but you refuse to go through any of the screening machines and you don't want to be patted down. I really don't think that going through these machines is going to turn us, or our offspring, into raging mutants! It's just not a concern for me!
We're probably turning ourselves into mutants more by having cell phones in our hands at all times!
In all honesty, the amount of radiation you're exposed to in a body scanner is less than the amount of radiation you're exposed to while in the air.
I flew at 15 weeks pregnant and my doctor said it was fine to go through the scanner. My son is now almost 10 months old and he wasn't born with 2 heads or 4 hands or anything.
