Do you normally wait long with a ADR?

We have alot of early dinner times, like 4:10 to 4:25 etc. I read that sometimes there is still a wait. How long have you waited with a ADR? We are kind of hoping there is a small wait with early dinner times, but its all I could get. TIA:)

I agree that you are likely to have a minimal wait with an early ADR. We had a 4:55 ADR at Le Cellier in Sept. Our wait was 3 or 4 minutes. When we came out, there were a large number of people waiting to be seated. All of our other ADRs were for 5:30. We never waited more than 10 minutes, except at Narcoossee's (about 20 minutes).

We have found the last four trips (even with free dining), that our average wait was five minutes. The only exceptions were Crystal Palace which was perhaps 10-15 minutes and LeCellier was over 30 minutes this past trip (other trips we were seated within five minutes).

both of our recent visits to Disney ....our reservations were around the same times you posted and we had no issues with waits...I think the longest we waited was at Crystal Palace and that was 20 minutes.......so hopefully you will be seated within your time frame.
Have fun

Ideally you should have a short wait, like 20 minutes I would assume, we had more than a 45 minute wait to The Plaza, we left after 45 minutes and went to Casey's so in reality the wait was longer but I think that was a fluke because we have never had that before. When my Dh handed back the pager they gave no reason for the long wait so who knows.....

Early dinner times like yours should be minimal waits. BUT there are some places that tend to have waits more often than others. Crystal palace is a big culprit.I have waitied over 45 mins past adr time and my dining time was 415pm.Same thing at Le Cellier. But it was Free Dining going on, and when Free dining is going on , anything is possible

The only time I ever remember waiting for an ADR.....was at Hollywood& Vine....Fantasmic dinner.

I think the ressie was for as early as 3:15p....but we only waited for about 15 minutes...

I just thought employees might have been running late on getting set up for the dinner crowd vs. lunch...

Oh - yeah...we did have about 15 minute waits at 'Ohana's a couple times...

But thankfully I never remember waiting an excessively long for any ADR's....

I think it's a good idea to show up early for your ADR. The only time I can remember waiting more than 5-10 minutes was at Le Cellier.:earsboy:

Here were our wait times PAST our ADR from our August trip:
T-Rex 20 minutes our ressie time 6:45pm
CRT 10 minutes 10:10am
50s PT 20 minutes 5:45pm
Crystal Palace Over an hour. They did give us a family fast pass for whatever ride we chose. 6:05pm
Whispering Canyon Cafe 5 minutes 5:05pm
Chef Mickeys No wait 5:15pm
Ohana 20 minutes 9:00am

Only a few times did we have a long wait. Rose & Crown and CA Grille. (Followed by bad service, so we have never returned.) And both were years ago.
Normally the wait is minimal, if any. Maybe 10 minutes.
The only other times I can think of is at Chefs de France. I think they get guests in a little earlier now for dinner. But I have experienced 4:45 ADRs, and of course I was instructed to arrive early. Only to find out they did not bring out the podium until 5, and even then take people in somewhat slowly.
Now I just know what they are like and don't worry about arriving early for an ADR there (as I normally book for dinner opening).

I will agree with Crystal Palace being a big culprit for long waits no matter what time the ADR is for. Any time I had an ADR there it was at least a 20 min wait. Another one I have found where there is normally a wait is Sci-Fi Dine In. Other than that I have found seating at an ADR to be pretty prompt.

Oops...forgot the worse one (probably because the whole experience was awful and we won't go back). In 2008 we ate at Whispering Canyon, and we waited over 35 minutes for our ADR at 5:15.

I usually don't wait more than 10 minutes. I seem to remember about 20 minutes for Crystal Palace for a 5pm dinner, and 40 minutes for breakfast at Ohana.

On our last trip in Sept. with DDP we didn't wait long for any ADR's except on our last day, we waited about 10-15 min. for 'Ohana breakfast. They were running about 30 min. late but we were a little late as well. Turns it out it was lucky for us as they seated us based on our ADR time, not our arrival time. At CP for breakfast we waited about 15 min. but I wish we had longer since I wanted to get more pictures in the park before it opened.

Other than that, at most, we waited 5-10 min.

Oh, and I just remembered that on my DM's birthday we were very late for our TI ADR. We were running really late that day and there was no way we were going to make our 7:30 ADR. I tried to change to a later time but nothing was available. I was able to get an ADR for Tokyo at about 9 p.m. When we finally arrived at EPCOT, after 8 p.m., I decided to check with TI and see if there was a chance we could be seated. My DM had chosen TI as her birthday dinner pick months before. The hostess was very nice and understanding at TI and we were seated in about 5 min. at about 8:30, I think. We were one of the last seated that night and even though we missed seeing Illuminations, we still had a great dinner.

I agree there is not much of a wait with times like those. We too had early dinner times and didnt really wait, maybe 5 minutes at Ohana, 10 minutes at 1900 Park Fare so they could take pictures. With the later dinner times i think would be something to worry about. Most of the places we ate had just opened so there was no one ahead of us eating that we would have to wait for them to finish, i guess thats one of the good things about eating an early dinner.

The past 3 times I've been to 1900 Park @ GF-- I've had to wait 20-30 mins. past our dinner ressie

We didn't have to wait long for our Sept free dining ressies & we ate at LeCellier, 'Ohana, CRT, Boma, Rose & Crown, Sci Fi to name a few.

We were usually seated within 5 min or so of us arriving. We did arrive about 15 min early to check in. Most of our ressies were early-before 6.

Lucky you. We waited 1 1/2 hours. We arrived and checked in exactly 30 minutes before our ADR and didn't get seated until a full hour after our ADR. It was the longest wait we've ever had. Other than that, I think the longest we ever had to wait past our ADR time was about 20 minutes at CRT. Usually If we've had to wait, it's been 5-10 minutes tops.
