Do you need to use a park ticket if you have an ADR?

The "shopping pass" is nothing more than a full-price one-day ticket with a 30 or 60 minute return policy.

You won't be allowed into a park to patronize a restaurant without valid admission to that park for the day. If you don't have a park hopper, you will be able to access only a single park in any given day.

There are some special tickets that would provide additional admission in a single day, like hard party tickets. But there is no special restaurant admission ticket.

Yes....this makes much better sense. This way, it's on the "shopper" whether or not he/she is there simply to run in and purchase something, or be a theme park guest for the day. Disney is covered either way without having to devote additional manpower.

We'd also like to try Fulton's in DTD or possibly Bongos or PH. We will definitely hit Rainforest Cafe and/or TRex Cafe too but we managed both of those last time without a reservation so we're hoping the same this time.

For trex and rfc I hope you got a landrys select card last time? If not, get one.

And I believe that for all you mentioned at DTD you can contact them directly and get more availability than through disneys system.

This was some really helpful advice and suggestions. Thank you.

What's a Landry's card? Does it give a discount?

Last year we were on FD so we didn't pay OOP at Trex or RFC. We might be OOP this year. Depends on how we book.

The Landry's card gives you a $25 credit to be used in any of their restaurants upon signing up. You also get a birthday coupon and priority seating upon arrival. I called for a reservation for the first week in December for a party of 9 and stated that I was a Select Club member and was reminded to please be sure to bring the card with me. We are fortunate to have 2 Landry's restaurants in our home town so it is a good deal for us.
