We always make reservations for Kona breakfast to be on the safe side. I have read several posts that if you get there close to opening you won't have a problem being seated.
Hmmmm, would it be really dumb to wait and see what day we want to go over and try the tonga toast (in other words try to get the ressies while we are there). We are staying at CR it would be a monorail ride over in the morning. I guess there is no harm in guessing what day we want and cancelling if neccesarry. I guess I answeared my own question. LOL.
They are not a must, but sometimes when we arrived for breakfast every day, we ended up waiting a few minutes. Same thing for lunch. Not a huge deal, but annoying. Not that many people eat a ts breakfast so the place is never jam packed. Everything on the menu is pretty darn good too
It is really when in the season you're going and how popular of meal time you're shooting for.
We go during low seasons and are able to make the day before ADRs, but we also eat at 'off' times.
If you need to be up & off, need common meal times or are staying at the more crowded times, I would definitely make ADRs.
Also consider ADRs if your heart's set on Kona.
They have press pot Kona coffee, too!
Kona Cafe is one of my most favorite WDW eateries!
It's not a must, but if you don't, you may have a little wait. The wait will depend upon the time of year that you're going. In the busy times, you could wait up to 30 minutes.
