I already have an ADR for dinner at California Grill with a friend, but I'll be solo for a couple of days and was wondering if I wanted to go back to just have a glass of wine at the bar (and maybe a sushi or flatbread appetizer :rolleyes1 ), would I need an ADR for that?

I know I have seen threads about this but I honestly can't remember. I'm in the same situation for part of my next trip so I'd like to know too!

There seems to be some confusion on this. Some people say you need an ADR for dinner just to go up. Others say you don't. I talked to a CM and they said if there is room you can go up without and ADR. Other's have realworld experience of being refused without an ADR. It would be nice to know for sure :confused3

We went up for just a drink on night about 2 weeks ago. We were there when they opened, I think 5 PM and were escorted up to the lounge table area. We did not have an ADR for CG as we were eating our dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe that night.

My parents just wanted to see the view and check out the place. It had been years since they had been up there. We had no problems at all.

But I guess that could change if they were really booked.

Not that I have tried yet. I want to try someday.

But I understand that you must check at the 2nd floor desk. If there is room at the bar, they'll escort you up. If there isn't, then you can't go up without an ADR.

It's all going to depend on how crowded the place is, and probably on how close it is to fireworks time at MK.
