I enjoy certain sports since they are of interest to me to watch or attend. Who else happens to like/not like that team/individual/sport has nothing to do with the ones I enjoy.
I'm a Phillies fan. We have one of the worst reputations in all of baseball. I've never seen any bad behavior at the ballpark or on the TV, but I guess from the outside it might be seen differently.

Was actually just about to type something about the Phillies lol
I was just in Philadelphia visiting a friend and we were there when there was a game. They won and yet on the SEPTA we still saw some people acting like buffoons. You guys are acting like that when your team...wins? To clarify I only knew they were acting like that because of the game since they all had jerseys on and were shouting about how happy they were that they won.
My local baseball team is the Orioles and I think people around here have accepted that they're not the best so they don't get too worked up when they lose LOL
I think at many sporting events some people tend to drink too much and then act like fools. Seems most venues are more interested in how much they make selling beer vs. having policies in place to limit unruly behavior from those having too much to drink. None of that has anything to do with how I like a particular team/sport.
I am only into baseball and football so can only comment on what I see for those sports don’t know if fans act the same way in hockey and basketball but there are fans of certain teams who are obnoxious. I can be wearing a shirt or hat of my favorite team and no matter where we are whether in our own state or visiting other states or countries it it never fails that fans of our biggest rival team in those sports I will call them always have to come up to us and say they are fans of blank team sometimes they are wearing their gear other times not and make a nasty comment and start with us. Most other team fans leave us alone or might come over and talk about some of our players and we have a nice discussion.

Yeah, these are the drunk idiots who take the subway and bus home from the games. I used to take the subway from the ballpark and then the bus on Oregon Avenue, but I stopped because of it.
It's a shame a few rowdies give us such a bad name, especially since we have a pretty good team this year so any incidents will be magnified.
