Do you listen to music/ watch ride videos beforehand?

Just a quick poll out of curiosity!

I haven't seen Happily Ever After or Rivers of Light yet. I am the kind of person who has seen Wishes dozens of times (thanks to being a cast member briefly), and had every word and moment of music memorized, etc. In fact the Wishes soundtrack got me through a lot of unpleasant moments!

I really, really want to listen to the Happily Ever After soundtrack but I am trying to restrain myself- I believe it will hurt the magic of seeing it the first time. I have heard the "happily ever after" original song but not the whole fireworks arrangement.

What do y'all do? Do you listen to the music beforehand? Similarly, what about when new parades or attractions come out? Do you watch videos or hold off til you actually get there? Just wondering to what those of us who love the parks but have to wait a while between visits do about new arrivals!

No, no, & no! I like to wait and enjoy the surprises. I enjoy the initial excitement of a new experience - with no spoilers!

I make the girls youtube every ride and every show ahead of time. Then tell me what is a must and what is a "do we have time" show or ride.

Sometimes I do but for our last trip, I didn't look up anything concerning Avatar or HEA ahead of time since I wanted to be surprised. We've been so many times, it's nice to go to Disney and see something you've never seen before.

I don't think it would have taken anything away from my experience if I had though.

I try not to see anything. I purposely do not watch ride videos so that I can enjoy the experience for myself the first time and be surprised. But it is hard not to see photos of new things before I go since I am constantly on the DIS and reading lots of stuff.
