Wondering if there are any other disners who enjoy turkey burgers as much as I do.

I normally make our turkey burgers at home using fresh ground turkey with all the fixins- bacon, mayo, ketchup, tomato, onion, cheese and love it.

Well today I took a chance and had a turkey burger at Ruby Tuesday restaurant and it was delicious :thumbsup2 !! It was so nice and juicy I was pleasantly surprised how good it tasted! Just curious if there are any other good restaurants that serve delicious turkey burgers?

Fudruckers had good turkey burgers too. Johnny Rockets has one too, but I didn't like it the one time I tried theirs...I think the meat wasn't too fresh.

Lots of places used to have them, but they are getting few and far between now.

There's a local place that makes them fresh and they are good!

I haven't eaten beef in almost 20 years, so I only eat turkey burgers.

We always buy ground turkey instead of ground beef, so we enjoy turkey burgers, turkey spaghetti sauce, turkey meatloaf, turkey tacos....

:rotfl: ;)

I really LOVE turkey burgers, too!

One of my favorite meals out is at Ruby's Diner. Not a Ruby Tuesday, but a 50's diner with old fashioned malts, shakes, burgers, and decor. I always get a Turkey Burger and a RootBeer Float. And I am in heaven:cloud9: .
I don't like cheese or mayo, but ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato and a thick slice of onion....yum!

A lot of restaurants used to have turkey burgers (Chili's and Coco's come to mind), but no longer offer them. I wonder why:confused3

I make them at home occasionally, adding Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce to them adds a lot of flavor.

No,I don't. I get queasy when I smell turkey cooking. For the holidays,we have fried turkey because it's cooked outside.

i prefer turkey to beef. I buy all white meat turkey and season it well. It has so little calories and fat. I make a mean chilli out of it. When I've been eating this for awhile beef just tastes too greasy.

I don't like Turkey Burgers, but love to use ground turkey instead of beef in recipes.

We have pretty much stopped eat beef burgers and have only turkey burgers at home. But I have never had one at a restaurant. :confused3

I use ground turkey all the time in spaghetti sauce, sheperd's pie, meatballs, etc.... but I love a good beef burger. I don't hate turkey burgers, just love beef ones!

Eh... I can eat them, but a real burger is made with beef. I like turkey, but not in a burger.

I love them, too.

Just be sure to use lean ground turkey. Regular ground turkey can have as much or more fat than beef burgers.

This thread is making me hungry.

Another vote for Fuddruckers. I tried Ruby Tuesdays a couple weeks ago and liked that too.

Definitely buy the lean meat. I HATE the smell of it cooking, but try to distract myself. It's great for everything - tacos, chili, pasta, etc.

I don't think I 've ever had a turkey burger in a restaurant. We don't have any of the restaurants mentioned above around here, but someday I'll have to try one.

I use ground turkey in a lot of recipies in place of ground beef. For burgers I mix in finely chopped, lightly sauted onion and some ground up (or very finely chopped) mushrooms, salt, pepper & a splash or 2 of worchestershire (OK, no idea how to spell that!). The kids hate mushrooms, but you can't taste them at all - shrooms are mostly water, so they add moisture to the burger. IMO a white meat turkey burger without added moisture might as well be a hockey puck!

Now I am gonna have to try Fuddruckers. We have one here. Which burger tasted better? Ruby Tuesday or Fuddruckers?

I love turkey burgers! I make mine at home with Lipton's onion soup mix (one packet to a pound of meat) and they are yummy!!!

Ok, I'll bite.

I've never had a turkey burger, but I'm curious~what do they taste like? I like turkey (white meat only). Can I make them the same way I do a regular beef burger? On the grill, etc???

They are really good. The burgers I make at home are just like using ground beef. They are really delicious on the grill. Just use the same seasonings you would use on your beef burgers. I even use fresh ground turkey for taco's, hamburger helper, sloppy joes etc... It's my substitute ground beef and a lot healthier.

I just wish more restaurants served turkey burgers. I had a turkey burger at Ruby Tuesday and it was absolutely delicious :) !
