I have a Love It/Hate it relationship with the game.....it is waaaaay to Cut throat in our house - people trying to bribe others for property, whose rules to follow - strict Monopoly or a variation like any bills get put on "no parking" and if you hit it you get the $$$, etc. So it really depends on WHO is going to play.

I won't play with my exbil because he is so cut-throat. I feel like I need a lawyer and financial planner to play with him. It took an hour to figure out all the rules he wanted to iron out before playing. Then he would want to change them as we went.
I'm not serious at all when I play and I want it to be fun. Just don't ask for me to let you win unless you're under 16.

My brother and I used to have Monopoly marathon weekends or we would make a game last for the whole of Christmas break. I actually relaly miss that
We play with our kids now but it isnt the same

well - depends on my mood. But the drag about Monopoly is once you are losing - you are going to lose - and you are going to lose for a LONG TIME. Now the same is true if you are winning really....but.....

I'm with Papa, when I'm in the mood. Although I'd much rather play Monopoly or the Game of Life on PS2...no setting up and putting away the board and all those pieces and the computer does most of the thinking for you.
