Do you like Pal Mickey? - I don't

I Love my Pal Mickey. The original clip fit perfectly on the strap pf my waistpack... Any ideas of what I could use as a replacement?

I love the idea of Pal Mickey, but everyone I talk to says he is too big to carry around all day long. I dolnt have any kids to carry him so I plan to carry out a Pal Mickeyectomy. I will take all of the electronics out of mickey and place them in a small project box from radio shack, add a small speaker with a clip (Like the police use on their radios) and clip the box to my fanny pack.

With my Pal Mickey in a box, with an external speaker I will have all the fun of Pal Mickey without the drawbacks: Low sound volume, size ect.......

Just put a "headphone jack" in him, he doesn't weigh much, anyway.

I love both of our pal mickey's. Someone gave me the original one because they didn't like it, and a friend gave me the HCOE edition as a get well gift. The HCOE edition is easier to hear. I use one of the caribaritor clips on my back pack and can hear him with out taking him off the backpack. Mickey provides a little bit of Disney Magic in between trips to WDW. We love ours. Yep.
Its Eisner's fault if you don't like Pal Mickey, or Fast Pass, or your eggs were too runny at breakfast, or your feet hurt.

That bum hated everyone, but especially NeverEnufWDW.
Its a good thing Eisner left when he did, he was THAT CLOSE to finding NeverEnufWDW and just SHAKING the money out of every pocket.

I bought PM in July 2005, the new version is wonderful, he talks all the time. I thought he was great having him around giving us a bunch of fun parc facts and singing songs.

PM returned to WDW this past January and we loved him just as much. I like to bring him along when I go to toontown fair to meet Mickey Mouse. PM makes quite an impression on all characters that we meet.

bought him new clothes while we were in WDW. Here he is with his poncho. There's also the pintrader, the safari guide and the tourist.

This thread could be used to answer the many posts on this forum about which Pal mickey to get and what's the difference between the older one that can be found fairly cheap on E-bay and the Newer and more expensive one with the Tuxedo.

Main differences: Newer one is louder and can be heard alot easier, Newer one has alot more jokes and gets newer ride info the old can't get, so he talks alot more. Newer one also comes with a Lanyard to carry him.

So if I were going to buy one I would only buy the newer one since the older one is not worth it based on all the negative posts here vs the positive posts for the newer one.

Have both version and love them both. Actually version 1 will be heading to DL even though he doesn't work over there. Figured PM2 just got home from WDW in January and goes again in January 2007 so it was only fair to let PM1 have the trip to DL in Sept Can't imagine a trip without the little guys

There is now a newer PM Version #3. This version is dressed as the Sorcerer from Fantasia. I still have PM Version #1, the original. Am happy with Version #1

I have versions 1 and 2 and version 2 is much louder than one. Version 2 Pal will make his 5th visit to WDW next week. My clip broke the first trip so I bought a WDW pin lanyard with the metal clip and put the clip through the slot where the clip is suppose to go. Pal mickey weighs less than the pins I would have put on the lanyard!!!
