I have to say I am suprised by the amount of people that have never had it happen to them. Like I said, I only sat is I was invited. But I remember it happening often. Not everyday, but maybe it was where I worked too.

NO, NO do not squat or sit, just take my freakin order!!!! (Deep breath) Ok, I know it's supposed to be "chummy" or friendly but I think it's invading my space. I am there to spend time with my DH not make a new buddy. We both hate it when the server keeps coming over time after time after time to see how everything is. And why is it that they ALWAYS manage to show up just as you've taken a big bite of food to ask you how everything is? Bring me my drink, take my order, ask how it is and then bring me a check as soon as I'm done. Oh, and don't wait forever to run my card through. Just go do it. We want to eat and then leave. We don't want to sit and wait forever after we are done. We'll chit chat at home thank you. Oh, and uh, you see that plate that's NOT clean? That's a pretty good indication I don't want desert so ask once and don't insist on reciting the desert menu after that. You won't tempt me to order any. Ok, rant over. Can you tell we had a BAD experience at Outback last night?

we have one restaurant locally that we love, its an authentic mexican restaurant and is owned by a friend of ours, we know the entire staff,, they sit,, join us for dinner on break time, bring us the lil sample plates to rty out new stuff on his menu, jerry even has been known to not charge us for most of the meal,,lol,, depends on whats goinbg on,, we can count on at least jerry, victor, sheri(who also hugs each of us) and troy all sitting a few min
