Do you let your children wear pins with thier names on them ?

Pins - I ordered some from the Disney Store web-site - Stitch and could get names placed on them.

Do you allow your children to wear pins with their names on them in the Parks ?

I would like to give the Stitch pins to my children at WDW as a surprise gift.

I do. I am always with them in the parks and the CM and others call them by name...they love it.!!!!

Same here. Our son got called by name on his fav ride, Big Thunder Mountain and he thought it was very cool.

We only allow it at Disney. My DD knows not to go with anyone just because they know her name (plus we are with her every moment) and she loves all of the special attention that she gets.

Yes, we got the guest of honor badges last year and the kids loved them. The CM's would call them by name and many of the characters that speak (Peter Pan, Wendy, etc.) talked to them by name. Some of the characters even signed their autograph books by their name.

I don't let one's under 8 wear anything with their names. Practice with a t shirt with their name before hand and try to get a stranger to THEM but not you see what they can get them to talk about or do because they know their names. Some kids are still stranger wary but some just think anybody is their friend if they know their name.

Last time we had gone to disney I went from store to store on a mission to get the goh badges with my kids names on it, when my dd (then 8) and I finally stumbled on to the clock store in MGM, so sad to find out the engraver machine was broken O NO! (my kids have uncommon names) The woman at the register was o so kind as to take down the spelling of both my kids names and our address with a promise to send them to us.
Low and behold she kept her word and they arrived about a month home from our trip, what a nice surprise!
Fast forward to 2 years later (this past Nov) when we decided to visit the parks again! I made sure to pin the tags to their clothing the night b4 we leave so as not to forget them. OK so we get to the parks they wear them that nite, and the next day I say ok who wants to wear their name pin, Now dont both kids say No its OK we don`t want to wear them today! This was a reoccuring phrase for everyday we were there. I even threatened to wear my daughters pin one day.
So the whole trip they sat on the dresser of our room. Guess they didnt like the attention they got from the pins, or the lack of! LOL
I think the novelty of those pins wore off since anyone can buy them now.
