Do you leave your car parked at the airport?

We've never left our car at an airport (we've always been dropped off) and since we're flying out of Nashville (1 1/2 hours away from home) we're going to have to park it. I'm a little nervous about leaving my car parked for a week. Can anyone reassure me that the parking decks have security and that everything will be okay? I've thought about taking DH's truck to park instead of our SUV with the TV/DVD player, but then kids won't be able to watch a movie on the way to/from airport (yes, not that big a deal I agree). What to do, what to do??

We always leave our SUV parked at the airport we've never had a problem. And that's at Newark not the nicest city.

I have left my car parked at quite a few airports with no problems. Just be sure you don't have any valuables in sight. You don't want to tempt a thief.

I used this service in Nashville all the time. They were great. Cheaper then the airport and they have good security. (BNA has lousy security, trust me... nothing ever happened to my car, but I once had to stand in that lot at night for well over an hour and NEVER saw a security guy!)

I've lived in 3 different states over the past 11 years, left my car parked at airports in each and never had a problem. On one hand, sure, your car is sitting there and potentially vulnerable. On the other hand, it's sitting there with thousands of other cars, so if yours IS broken into it would be sort of like hitting the lottery in reverse.

It will be fine. We've left our vehicles at lots of different airports. I've done it when traveling alone. Have to when the closest airport with more than one airline is 1.5 hours away.

Always leave the suv/truck in the garage at the Albany airport. Well, one time we did use the budget lot, but the shuttle is a hassle.

In Nashville, the only easy lot is the daily lot and it's expensive so you have to shuttle. And the shuttle drivers were NOT hired by the Chamber of Commerce. That's why I recommend the off site guys. You are shuttling either way and these guys are nice!

we park at Logan airport and feel very safe leaving it there. They know where every car is in the lot. If you forget where you parked, they will give you a ride to your car. I would never question parking there.

We always park in economy parking at the Nashville airport and have never had any problems. Cost is $6 per day.
