No, I'm not going to tell you. At least not yet. But do you know what the sentence means? Who it's talking about?
Yes, thanks to my time on Twitter
Explanation time!
cinnamon toast shrimp guy
So, Jensen Karp is a D-list celebrity. He has a podcast and is married to Danielle Fishel (Topanga from Boy Meets World). A few days ago, he posted a tweet about how he found cooked shrimp tails in his box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
General Mills responded via twitter, first by saying it was probably just clumps of sugar (it was decidedly shrimp), then doing other dumb customer service things. This Karp guy also finds other stuff that may or may not be rat poo, and he takes the box to a lab for testing.
Lo and behold, Wednesday, it is uncovered that Karp has had some troubling relationships in the past. Verbal and mental abuse, a "surprise threesome" one time, etc. Basically, he's a crappy person.
milkshake duck
A "Milkshake Duck" is a term for a viral Internet celebrity who turns out to be a bad person. It comes from this tweet by pixelatedboat:
bean dad
Bean Dad was a guy from earlier this year that tweeted a story about his daughter not allowed to eat beans until she learned how to use the can opener. I think there was a thread about it. Turns out Bean Dad said some really racist things in twitter back in 2013, even though he was "being ironic" about it.
Okay, but all I actually care about is, was he right about the Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
Okay, but all I actually care about is, was he right about the Cinnamon Toast Crunch? B/c my kids eat it, and if they have a minor processing problem right now, I'll pass on the next few sales of the item, so they can fix it...
I mean, why else would anyone have made him viral and then the media pick him up as a huge story? He could be a mass murderer for all I care (as long as he hasn't faked stunts on food companies before), IF he was right about the cereal...and that's all I care to know about him. He's not like an Olympic athlete, where I enjoy watching their "how did I get here and now famous" stories...
He says the cereal was from a two pack sold at Costco. He is claiming the second bag (dental floss bag) in the box was not factory sealed and instead was sealed with tape. He also says he is unsure if the first bag (shrimp bag) was factory sealed or not as well.Okay, but all I actually care about is, was he right about the Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
