There were two picture books I remember when I was young that I really enjoyed. I'd love for my daughter to have them but I can't remember the names at all.
The first one was about a man who lived on a street with all-white houses that looked alike. He could never find his house easily so he painted his house a different color. Then everyone on the street painted their house a different color. .. . it had cute cartoon illustrations. It was part of the Easy Reader series.
The second was large format. It was about a girl and her best friend and they both lived very close to eachother. One girl had to move with her family and gave the other girl a friendship rock which turned colors when wet or in the sun or something. The little girl was lonely when the other one moved and used to sit on the stoop. Finally, one day another little girl moved in and they became quick friends when the first girl shared her rock with the other girl.
Hahaha. . . .interesting plot lines, huh? Anyways, I would love to find them if you know what they are.
Thanks
