Like many of you I visit other message boards. There's this board I visit and it never fails, this one woman is always on there, no matter what time of the day or night... :confused3 I just cannot understand how someone can spend so much time on one message board. :sad2:

I've been sick and dysfunctional and this helps me through the day (and helps me to avoid getting sick).

We are making our way back to routine though. Grandparents were in town yesterday though and today DH and my oldest were at a funeral all day.

But I cant' imagine how someone doesn't sleep.:confused3

Maybe she follows your schedule. ;)

u cannot be sure she is in front of the computer. Technically I am always on FB if u see the chat but I am not necessarily on the computer it just means my computer is on browser open. I have downloads I do at night and the browser is just left on if I forget/

I was going to same something similar. My DH cannot visit the message board he is on at work, but anyone on it would think he was. When I open email, his message board opens in another window which would show him signed in. I tend to leave yahoo open all day showing that he is on all day.

I'm on dial-up with a phone plan that only allows a certain # of outbound calls a month, so once I dial in, I do not log off. I usually leave Dis and Facebook both open, between the two I don't get disconnected as much. Could be lots of reasons she shows as online all the time :)

No this person is always posting...

Maybe she has a condition that you are not aware of that leaves her homebound, unable to sleep and she's looking to busy herself in the process.

But then again--maybe she has an addiction and can't leave the internet.:confused3

And.....how would you know she is on 24/7 unless you are? :listen:

JK :rotfl:

Maybe she is retired or home bound and leaves it on all day while in between doing laundry, dishes, mopping floors etc. Does dishes comes back to computer, laundry...back to computer.

does not mean she is on computer...i post from my blackberry all the time plus I am a SAHM and the computer is always on so I can pop in now and then...

If it's truly 24/7, I suspect it's an addiction..

But this CONFIRMS that YOU were on the board those, days/nights and all hours, :rotfl2: to see HER!
Maybe she just leaves her window/tab "open" and is actually not
"on" the site????:confused3

Whatever the situation...I say to each his/her own popcorn::

I cannot understand how someone can care so much what a complete stranger does with their free time when they are not hurting anyone by doing it.

There are a lot of reasons she may be on the internet at all hours of the day. The internet is really my best method of contact with people right now. I don't go out during the day unless I have to due to the risk of the flu and complications from my medical stuff. Less people seem to shop at the grocery store at midnight than noon.:thumbsup2 It's not easy to be in a position like this. Would I love to be out enjoying the sunshine with everyone else? Absolutely, but not enough to risk getting ill. Because of my medical issues, I also do not sleep at regular hours, so it's very common for people with my disorder to find each other in the wee hours of the morning on FB or whatever.

I think with blackberrys and such it is easier for people to be online all the time. SOme people really do need an intervention though!

i know someone who is addicted to playing world of warcraft. she only gets off when forced to, pretty much.

I feel like I'm on 24/7 - but I'm a SAHM and when I'm out I can post from my phone. Not addicted - just bored and filling time.

The only time you won't see me posting is early morning - I don't do mornings!
