Reading, DISing, watching videos - any other indoor ideas? (keep it clean- lol)
Thinking of book & video titles to keep myself busy when we return from our MAGICal cruise.

we hibernate. I quilt, most of the winter. It keeps me warm as I sit and watch TV.

Big Surprise huh?

Well, I definetly have plans for "Kingdom Hearts" on Playstation 2. Going thru basement, trying to reduce the clutter oh and painting the house that is, and lots of it.

Santa is bringing DS10.5 the PS2 for Christmas. I may just need to ask him to bring me Kingdom Hearts. Is this a game a 10yr boy would enjoy? He's into Dungeons & Dragons, role playing, etc. - not into the Disney characters.

Well, beside DISing, I crochet, bake, cook, read (I just bought the fourth in the Jean Auel Clan of the Cavebear series), play computer golf and sit and drink coffee while looking out at the snow!

I'm so looking forward to crafting this winter. Making wreaths and swags, mostly.

Our craft store chain (The Rag Shop) has classes weekday mornings for a nominal charge.

I can hardly wait until January when I'll have the time to attend them.

cleaning and reading. :)

but it wasn't too bad here last year. maybe the winter here will be mild again. :)

My big project to keep me occupied this winter will be redoing the downstairs den. I'm going to rip out the carpeting and refinish the old wood floor, repaint and repaper, and maybe design some new built-in bookcases.

I just finished redoing our great room and, if I do say so myself, it looks great!!

We are getting our house ready to sell in the Spring. We are putting tile inserts in the wood floor at the front and back doors, putting wainscoating and new wood floor in the study. Putting finishing touches no basement (finish trim, girls closets, etc.). We will be going through the storage room for stuff for the big garage sale when we sell the house. Then there's reading, and baking, and Dising. Oh, and a trip to WDW in January. I think that will keep me busy through the worst season of the year. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate winter?

No hibernating here. Best time of the year is winter down here. I can't wait for the cooler weather. Come on down to Florida for the winter.

We don't hibernate. There's plenty to do outside...ski, sled, skate, make snowmen, hike...as long as the weather cooperates by chilling and snowing.

And when we arent' having fun outside we come in a do house projects (paint, re-decorate), cook (especially bake), do puzzles, play board games, visit with friends, have parties, stuff like that.

Not all that much different than other times of the year...just more clothing to wear :)

Same here! The only difference is how early it gets dark now, but we have a HUGE flood light in our backyard that faces towards the house and driveway, so DSs can still play football or basketball, even in the dark :) The only other difference is there is less yard work to do on a regular basis, once we have the mountain of fallen leaves all picked up

Me too! One in the back yard, one in the driveway.

And we have been known to line the sled path at the front of the house with the tiki torch thingies from summer since the flood lights don't shine there :) Some people in the neighborhood even bought those outside fireplaces to set up in the winter so the grown ups can sit out in their chairs and watch the kiddies sled more comfortably.

Like I said, just like other times of the year just more clothes. :)

I never thought to do that, what an AWESOME idea!!!!! :teeth: Ok, now I can't wait for it to snow!!!!!!!! :p We have several tiki torches that usually sit in the shed all winter. That won't be the case this year!! Thanks for the great idea!!!!! :)

I have a list of books, some games, and a bunch of indoor house projects to keep me occupied for the next few winters :)

I'm online a lot in the winter! I also like to go bowling a lot.
