No... but, if you have a reservation you will be given a 3 hour parking window, but if your friends are not on the reservation list they might have to pay, depending in the guard at the gate.

Also depends on self park or Valet.
If your friends are driving in a separate car, they may need to tell the guard at the gate that they are part of XXX party dining at XXX restaurant at XXX time. Otherwise without a reservation in their name, they might not be let in(depending on how crowded the resrot and parking lot are)

And now that there is those parking structures you can even find a spot.

As for resorts you don't have to pay if you are visiting for dinner Just if you are staying at the resort.
