Do you have to pay for maidserv & towles when you become a member?
anything else cost extra?

Thanks!!!

You get limited maid service during your trip. How often depends on how long your stay is. After a few days you get "trash and towel" service, at which time they drop off a new set of towels. If you stay long enough you get a full room cleaning.

If you want hotel-style maid service, you can pay for it by the day. I think it's around $25/day, but not sure. We've never felt the need for it.

You get a full set of towels when you check in and another on trash & towel day. In theory, they will charge you $6 if you request more than that, but I don't believe we were charged when we did.

You will find a fully cleaned unit complete with fresh towels when you arrive. If you stay less than 8 nights, you will receive "Trash & Towel" service on your fourth day. That means housekeeping will take out the trash and provide fresh towels. If you stay 8 nights or longer, you will receive a full cleaning on the fourth day and Trash & Towel Service on the eigthth day. The one, two & three bedroom units have a washer & dryer right in the unit. There is a laudry room availabel for those who stay in the studios (no charge for the use of the machines, but you must pay for/provide your own detergent and softening agents).

If you want cleaning services beyond what is described above, then yes, there is an extra charge. It varies depending on the unit size and the service requested. When the search function is available, do a search. There a quite a few posts that detail the services & charges. Briefly, T&T is $10/day requested. Full cleaning is $25/day reuested for a studio, $30 for a 1 bedroom, and $40 for a 2 bedroom.

Most members (me included) really LIKE not having housekeeping in the room on a daily basis. It's not a big deal to make the beds and wash a load of towels every so often. (We don't use a clean towel every day at home). We don't have to worry about when the maid is coming, taking a nap, putting our stuff away or sleeping in. At first, it seemed like the lack of daily housekeeeping was a negative. After having tried it, I find that I actually PREFER not to have it. JMHO. YMMV.

Hope you didn't mind the lengthy answer.

I din't know about the washer & dryer available for use for NO CHARGE when you are in a studio.

Is this really true!?!

Yep! There are washers and dryers provided near the pool area. They are free. Just bring your own detergent.

Can you empty the trash yourself if it gets to be a bit much? Say boxes from delivery pizza or chinese take-out or something like that.

We empty our own trash at least every other day. At OKW, there are closets with dumpsters on the first level of each building. At
BWV, they have trash rooms on each floor with dumpsters. Haven't been to VWL or BCV, but I assume they are the same as BWV. They keep extra bags on the bottom of the cans in the rooms, plus we save our bags from grocery shopping.
