Do you have to pay for a roll-away for 5th person @ RPR?

Our kids are 9, 7 and 5, and will either sleep together, or the 5 year old will want to sleep with us. Is the roll-away fee a must? Do they automatically charge you for it if they know you have 5 people? Thanks!

In 2004 we got a roll away bed and it was $25 a night it was a pretty good deal but you have to ask for one.

No, they will not automatically charge you for a rollaway unless you request it. We have 3 kids and take an aerobed instead of the rollaway. (I asked first, and they had no problem with this.)

I second the idea of using an airbed. Buy a cheap one w/air pump...doesn't take up that much room to pack. Then you can deflate it during the day and give yourselves more room during the day. They'll bring you sheets for it if you ask.

This may be a stupid question but, will a full size aerobed fit in the room at RPR? Or do you need to have a twin?

I was curious about this also since we have reservations in April for a double queen room with 3 small kids. There is no charge for a roll away bed. I called today and had one added to my reservation. They are free as part of the Loew's Loves Kids program that is outlined on the Loew's website. :) Also, in case anyone is interested, a refrigerator (other than the mini bar) is $15/night.

I am staying 8 nights in june. I think you just saved me 200$! :cool1:

We used an aerobed last time we stayed at RPR and put it in between the two queen beds. We have a twin and it fit perfectly. I think a full may be a bit too big for that size room.

Sorry but they gave you wrong info. You will be charged the $25 a night extra. The Loews Kids program outlined on their website excludes any Orlando Loews. Try and get it in writing from the person that gave you the bad info.

Where does it give the exclusion? I was checking the site , and couldnt find anything that says its excluded.

loews loves kids

At Loews, we know that children – and parents – need special treatment when traveling. In order to help kids have a great time every time they stay with us, each Loews Hotel offers a variety of unique programs and services, including lending game libraries, special menus, tours, welcome gifts for children under ten, and supervised recreational programs. Children under the age of eighteen stay with Loews for free. Child-proof kits are available for kids under four, and cribs and roll-away beds* are free for the asking.

We used a twin airbed placed between the window and queen bed. It fit without a lot of space to spare. Housekeeping even made up the airbed when we did leave it inflated while we were out. As US Loew's excluding the "free rollaway" offered in their ad, the US hotels seems to operate under their own rules more than the Loew's...don't know why. We're platinum level and have stayed at RPR 3 yrs in a row....8-10 days each time, but had to have extra help to secure the king suite benefit. Have been to the Loew's in Phila. 3 yrs. in a row for New Years and each time were treated like royalty.

Thanks, looks like i will be getting a twin then. I think that would probably be more comfortable than a rollaway anyway. :)

Thank you, Fan2CSkr! I would have shown up for my vacation and been upset to pay the extra $. I never noticed the exception to the Orlando hotels when I read about the roll away beds. When I called to add one to my reservation, the person I talked with confirmed that it was free. I called back tonight and talked with a manager---they are giving it to us without charge because of the error. Thankfully I took good notes when I called.

Excellent job on confirming and referring back to your notes. I think it was super that the manager upheld their end even though it was in error. Now you know what kind of service you'll be receiving when you stay at RPR.....kind, courteous and professional staff. That's why we love it there.

the fifth person will pay the price of an uncomfortable night's sleep....but preferable to getting a second room.
