Do you have to buy a park ticket for free dining?

I was intending on buying the dining plan before it became free and was told I had to buy at least one park ticket per person to be eligible.

Is this still the case? Can't seem to find that info.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, to get the dining plan you need to purchase a package which includes at least a one day ticket. (even with free dining)

Yep, but you don't have to use it that trip. You can buy just a 1 day and stash it away for the future.

Well, unless you are a DVC member OR are renting points from one for your stay. In that case, you just purchase the DDP, no ticket purchase is required.

But if you're staying in a DVC resort on points, you are NOT eligible for the free dining.

No, not for the FREE dining. At first i read her post to say she was purchasing the dining. oops! :confused3
