Flying in tomorrow and I did get my ME booklet and have attached my ME luggage tag to my bag. I won't have any carryon, so would prefer to have as little in my pockets as possible. (No, I'm not worried about my checked luggage arriving, even if it's the next morning, I was planning on buying a new Disney sleep shirt anyway, and they have soap and shampoo in the room, and washers and dryers)

I understand they print your outgoing bus voucher at the desk when you arrive. It is the return bus voucher in the packet. All of the rest of the pages in the packet is just information, no bar codes to scan or anything.

All of my information is correct, so I should be able to just walk up with my ID and resort confirmation, then I can put that bulky ME packet in my checked luggage and have one less thing to carry around the airport.

Since so many folks DON't get their ME packet in time, I'm hoping this won't be a problem.

The voucher in the booklet is for both trips. It's scanned on the trip to WDW and collected on the trip back to MCO. I'd just take the vouchers out of the packet and keep it with your photo id. If you don't have it they'll still accomodate you but there might be a delay while they print new vouchers.

Thanks!!!

I'll pull the vouchers and leave the rest of the book in the luggage.

BTW I understand you want to avoid carryon luggage but you really shouldn't check expensive cameras and any medicine you require.

Not bringing a camera, (we literally have 2 gigs of WDW pictures on the hard drive from family trips, this is a solo F&W trip for me) and all I have is a small bottle with a variety of tylenol, advil, sudafed, etc. If it disappears, oh well.

Makes sense, my post was also intended for other reading this thread.

You should bring written confirmation of reservations to the reservation desk whether that desk be the check in desk of a hotel or car rental company, a maitre d' podium at a restaurant, an airline check in counter, or the Magical Express welcoming area desk.

If you did not get the ME booklet in time for your trip you should at least have your room reservation confirmation and have the names of ME CM's you talked to on the phone when trying to get the booklet sent to you.

What else is in the book? You can remove the staples and dismantle the book and tuck away which by definition means never to be seen again, the instructions you memorized and the preprinted stuff that is the same for everybody.

I had the book with me. The only thing they needed to see were the return trip vouchers. They verified the number of bags and that we had used the yellow tags on all of them. Then, she stamped each of the return vouchers and we were off to the bus. It took less than 2 minutes even with the line (since we had used the yellow tags).
