Do you have to be a AAA member to book a package thru AAA?

Hope this is not a stupid question. WOuld it be worth joining AAA to book a package thru them? If the only big benefit is unlimited fastpass I don't know that it would be worth it.

I'm pretty sure you do since they check your card to even get past the front desk. I think (but I'm not sure) that AAA members would get a discount on the room portion of the package.

Yes you do because you have to go to a AAA office I believe to do this and even if you did it online you would have to have an ID number. One thing to be careful with. Make sure you discuss this with the AAA agent who books you. We have friends who went to DL in May. Before they went they mentioned to us that the wife's mother was a AAA travel agent and had booked their package. I told them how lucky for them because they would then get the unlimited fastpass. They knew nothing about it. I am not sure the mother did either. They must have gotten it all straightened out because they commented when they got back how great that unlimited FP was. Once before we were AP's I called AAA and had to go through about 3 agents before anybody could ascertain for me that such a thing even existed. I am thinking if you didn't have the right thing you would be out of luck and wouldn't know it until it was too late. One more note, if you are planning on going next summer around the 50th or any other peak time, I think it would be a nice thing to have.

I've booked my packages for the past three years through AAA and of the two trips I've taken so far (one is in the future), we've had unlimited fastpass. I've never had a AAA membership.

Lucky you, I just paid over $100 because the AAA office here in Littleton CO told me I had to be a member to book a trip.
