We were talking at work today and I told them I had a pillow that was 33 yrs old . They were shocked :o I'm 36 ( I know it sounds gross LOL) This ratty pillow has gone everywhere with me for 33 long years .I pack it in my carry on when I go out of town. I know it sounds a bit much but I even have a name I call it "NeeNee" My husband has a bear "Bearlee" that they brought him home with from the hospital when he was born . He thinks it is his good luck bear , he kept it in his locker at the Firehouse for the 1st year .

I have a lot of stuff from my childhood but there is one doll that I've had since the day I was born. So she is almost 26 years old. :)

Well I'm only turning 16, but I am planning on keeping quite a few things from my childhood. I still have my blankey (my baptism blanket) and a pillow from when I was little. I'm sure I have many other things but can't think right now :)

i have a raggy ann doll homemade. By my neighbor i had since i was born it is 21 years old

I have the maternity nightgown my mom wore when she was pregnant with me. It's 34 yo, but I'm not yet.;) I also have my grandfather's featherdown pillow that I sleep with every night and miss when I go out of town (but I won't take it with me in case I forget it:o ). It's older than I am too. I "inherited" it when he died.

I'm the 7th of 8 kids, so there weren't a lot of things that were kept for me. However, Mom did give me the plaster of paris handprint that I'd made in kindergarten as a christmas gift ( I vividly remember the extremely tall bookshelves that the first set of handprints were drying on falling over on the other side of the classroom!) I think the funniest thing is when my older son was 2 and he fit his hand in my print, and his 2 year old hand was the same size as my 5 year old hand.

I guess because there aren't too many momentos from my childhood, I've been reluctant to part with anything from my two boys...I want them to have things that they can remember.

Ironically enough, a 'joke' toy my dad gave me for my 18th b'day (19 years ago today) recently became my younger DS bedtime buddy. It's the cutest thing, called a puglet. He won't go to bed without it, and he brings puglet downstairs with him every morning. I know Dad is probably up there smiling, knowing that something I kept for years is now entertaining his grandson!

I have a book since I was around 5 years old...It is called, "Gus Was A Friendly Ghost" and I loved it as a child! I read it to my children all the time now and plan on passing it down again! :)

I have a very raggedy ;) authentic Raggedy Ann doll who will be 46 this Christmas. She's faded and threadbare and her hair is falling off and she's in an ugly dress I made her when I was a teen (I have no clue where her original clothes went). But she sits in a little wicker basket by my bed :)

Also I have a twin bed sized blanket that's about 43 years old (from my first big girl bed ;) ) It's pink with white ballerinas on it. It's getting holey threadbare too but my own DD (16) has had it on her bed since she got HER first big girl bed :teeth:

Yep when I was 3 years old my grandmother and grandaddy gave me a teddy bear the day I got my tonsils(sp?) out. He is brown and winds up and plays Brahms Lullabye (sp again...lol) so he would be 28 years old and he still plays. He is very very well loved and I still treasure him. His name is Teddy (very original huh)

I also have a doll I got around the same time. Her name is "baby"( Even more original) and she has been in the tub with me over the years, swimming with me...everywhere I went....boy she looks rough but I still treasure her as well.

I still have my old stuffed elephant Arthur. He's dark red and missing his eyes and most of his fur. One leg is empty of stuffing and there's crayon marks where I drew on new eyes when his eyes fell off. Every childhood picture shows me holding him. I treasure him. :)

I used to have a certain book, but my mom gave it to her sister and her kids ended up ruining it. :( But I did research and years later (this year, in fact) I was lucky to find a copy of "Poor poor poorly pig." Took me FOREVER to find it. No used or rare bookstores or regular bookstores or online stores carried it. Ebay didn't have it. On amazon.com a person was selling their used one and I grabbed it. Brings back memories!! :teeth:

I have one doll made of yarn that was my grandmothers. I have another one my grandmother bought in Italy when I was little. I also have a necklace I wear everyday that my Grandmother gave me when I was nine. I have had it for almost 29 years now.

I still have all of my stuffed animals as well as some high school drill team items. Hubby2b has some stuffed animals as well. :)

I have my doll from when I was born- named Cynthia. I could never go to sleep without her.
I also have a Campbell soup doll my Great Grandmother made me when I was 4 or 5. The dog unravelled her yarn hair, so she's a mess now

Mrs. Beasley. Oh how my heart melts every time I look at her.
Mrs. Beasley is the doll from Family Affair.

Oh gosh, I have some of the toys I had as a baby, including a tiny little golden bear I called "Mungo" :) Plus I have all my old dolls, including a couple that had been my Mother's when she was a child, I have my baby blanket, my baby book, and I saved all my old Barbie dolls and clothes, there's probably more....I do wish I had some of my books that I liked as a child, especially the one about the little fawn called "Tuffer." I really miss that one.

I have "Carlisle". He is a stuffed dog that I have had since before I was born - he was a gift to my Mom at my baby shower. He's ratty and torn but he's so special to me.

I thought I'd pass him along to my kids, but they want nothing to do with him. So he sits on my shelf and ocassionally sleeps with me. :teeth:

I'm only 18, but I was really into American Girl dolls starting in about 1st grade. I kept them in AMAZING conditon, all the original hairstyles. I have Samantha's entire clothes collection (well, nothing new since I turned twelve) and a bunch of furniture. I have a girl of today, and I bought her Samantha's bed so that the beds could match. I swear, I set up a little corner of my room like their house, and every night they would change into PJs and I would tuck them in. :) I loved them to death.

When I felt I was too old for them I packed them away (I had kept all the original boxes, including clothes bags). I hope to save them for my daughter someday...watch, she'll be the biggest tomboy and want nothing to do with them! ;)

My boyfriend three years ago gave me a teddy bear that I sleep with every night. I cannot fall asleep without it. Oh well, I'm a dork.

I was a child of the 80's so of course I kept my cabbage patch dolls. My husband has a huge collection of original star wars figures that he collected when he was 10 or so back in the late 70's early 80's. He even has the darth vader collector case. I don't know how long they'll last though, my 6 year old has recently gotten a hold of them, but my husband thinks it's great watching him play with something he played with.
