Do you have more friends of the opposite sex than the same?

Just wondering. For some reason, I can make friends with males better than I can with females. Don't get me wrong, I have female friends, but not really close female friends. All through school days my best friend was of the opposite sex. And now, my closest friend is male. I can tell him things I don't tell my female friends...weird? How bout you?

as crazy as it sounds, I trust males way more than I trust females.

I've had a ton of "girl" friends, but none that I would trust as much as I did all my guy friends.

I think that girls can be really jealous and hateful to their friends faster than guys can.

i have found very few females that i trusted that much.
i used to have more males friends than female before i moved. i have more in common with guys than i do with girls.

Right now it is about equally split I think. I tend to usually have more male friends or my closest friends have a tendency to be males. I can usually talk more freely with most of my male friends than most of my female friends about things in general.

I have a lot more male friends than female! Although 3 of my best friends are female, the majority are all males. I trust guys a lot more than I do females! Plus, in my experiences, females are a lot more jealous and vengeful then males are.

I think that I am about split on the male/female friends ratio. And what I tell them is based on who it is not if they are male and female. My closest, tell anything too friend is female but I also have a male friend I have known since HS that comes a close second.

When i was in 9th and 10th grade i would say that i had more friends that were boys then girls. But in these past two years i have had so many more friends that are girls. I feel really comfortable talking to girls and tell them my secrets and life stories, but i feel more comfortable hanging out with a group of guys. Like for some reason guys are allways doing more fun things then girls, and i love that!! Like the other week my guy friends called me and asked if i wanted to walk to this abandon house to make a movie... and i know that NONE of my girl-friends would have asked me to do that, and i had a blast.

But if i need to talk to someone, i will allways go to my girlfriends first!

My 2 closest, tell anything to friends are female but, we're looong established friends, family-to-family, etc. Outside of that, I'd say I find it easier to have male friends. I was a tom-boy growing up, I like several sports, etc. I'm just not a girlie-type girl. No offense to my fellow ladies but, I'm no Princess!!

And, to really draw flames, I'll add that, maybe it's my lazy side coming out. I'd rather watch the game than help in the kitchen!

My BEST friend is female, but in the group of close friends I have, most of them are male. I agree with CRorBust...I have found most of my female friends to be much more jealous and hateful than my male friends. Lately I have come to the realization that several females I considered friends really aren't...they only care about themselves. So most of my close friends are male (My best friend and I hang out with the same group of people.)

I usually had more in common with guys. Before I got married, I definitely had more male friends. Then I got married....and they started getting married. I tended to shy away, because I don't want to be an annoyance to a friend's bride. Since I've joined my sorority, I have plenty of female friends, but none that I really confide in. Chris is all the friend I need for that.....
