Does anyone still have faith that Southwest will have a "Summer Sale"? We have tickets from Hartford on 7/28 leaving at 8:15 p.m. - Orlando, returning 8/12 leaving at 12:35 p.m. at $184.80 per person. I still check several times a day for lower rates and am willing to switch to Providence or Manchester to get a better fare and better flight time. I'd love a lower fare and a better flight time going down. I see many flights are still available that I'd prefer. Is anyone else still checking with me?

I don't know the answer to your question - this is just pure conjecture. I would think they will have a summer sale based on their history. However, they already offered $49 fares betwen Philadelphia and Orlando about 2 weeks after they released the summer flights about two months ago. I do not remember them doing that before. Those fares are now $105. So maybe they will be targeted certain markets at certain time intervals. I wish I could be more help. If they had not had the early Philly sale, I would be wondering the same question as you. Good luck!

Are you signed up to the Ding! fares? I'm sure you are, but just in case I had to ask it. :)

We got Dinged on April 3rd for July 21st for $45 from BDL to MCO, it's for the 815pm flight. We're coming home August 5th and haven't booked that flight yet. I'm waiting for another Ding or the summer sale. I'm also hoping I can change us onto an earlier flight on the way down, if not, no big deal, at least the kids will sleep since its a late flight. We're staying at the airport that night anyway.
Good luck to you :)

I do have Ding downloaded. Our 8:15 flight down was a Ding. Our plan is also to stay at the airport that Saturday night before we check into BWV on Sunday. I would love an earlier flight on Saturday or a less expensive flight for Sunday morning though. I am still crossing my fingers and checking the website on a regular basis. I 'think' Southwest will come through for us!

Just keep a watch out for great deals on Ding fares. Last year we were thinking of driving down and then 2 weeks before we left a $40 fare from RDU to MCO opened up so we grabbed it. I'm hoping for the same thing during free dining.

I took a trip to Vegas in Feb, I tried to tell the guys to wait until after Christmas because SW would have cheap fares (plus nonstop). They went with a Delta fare of $210/person. Then come January SW had one way trips for $74. They should have listened to me.

Morale of the story, have faith in SW, the usually come through.
