We have many celebs here. Two celebs live down the road from me who have been in the news lately. Wesley Snipes for income tax evasion and of course, Tiger Woods. Finally! Finally! The news crews have decided they don't need to camp outside the gates to his neighborhood. I was really tired of seeing all the news vans in the area!

That's who I was going to say! I live about five minutes away from Isle Worth, and the news vans were driving me crazy! I took me forever to get through the village. I used to see him out and about quite a bit at Blue Martini at the Mall at Millenia, I'm guessing not so much anymore!

Our local guy (in the county) is Stedman Graham. He and Oprah fly into the Cape May airport. (tiny) It is rumored that she owns a home in Stone Harbor.

Last year, Oprah spoke at a community event and gave one million to a scholarship fund.

There might be other celebrities that own homes in Cape May/Stone Harbor/Ocean City. They wouldn't stay here in the winter, however---not much going on.

Living in Nashville we have more than our fair share of celebrities. Mostly country music artists but of course we also are the home to Nichole Kidman now! I've run into her and her husband (whatever his name is) on numerous occassions around town.

My friend's 3yo son was involved with an "altercation" with Sunday at the kiddie area in David-Kidd. Apparently he walked right up to her and shoved her down. Needless to say, my friend was horrified! But Nicole was gracious...after all, a 3yo IS a 3yo!

The Jonas Brothers live maybe 5 min. away. We have many Dallas Cowboy and Texas Rangers around our town and Southlake. My son played football for the area youth association, he'd play with and against their sons.

Now that is a much more entertaining encounter than I had! I live in Murfreesboro, but lived in Nashville proper for a couple of years about 15 years ago. I will say that Garth Brooks gave some terrible Christmas gifts one year. I sold him 4 Dictionaries for gifts when I worked and Media Play. And from working at the coffee stand in front of Tower Records... Amy Grant was very fond of a non-fat cappuccino.

Sally Ride (first female Astronaut) lives (lived?? I haven't kept tabs on her) in Murfreesboro.

That I know of, there are a lot of 90s rockers from Portland and many more used to frequent the streets of Portland and Seattle, first one that comes to mind would be Kurt Cobain and scared1 Courtney Love. I've also met Art from Everclear on multiple occasions, he frequents a place I used to work, he's from Portland and as far as I know, he still lives here.

I heard there have been celebrities would lived here at some point such as Rose McGowan and Robert Pattinson (I've heard he moved here as soon as he found out he was to star in Twilight).

Although not a media celebrity, Phil Knight is from here as well, the founder of Nike.

Oh yes, a lot of the US Olympic gold medal winning fencing team is from Beaverton, OR... the city between Portland and my city of Hillsboro... also home of Nike Headquarters.

Although I'm a Yankees fan, I love that Jacoby Ellsbury is from Oregon. He's from a town called Madras on the other side out Mt. Hood from Portland.

And finally, the creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening, is from Portland. A lot of characters are named after places in Portland.
