We have John Travolta/Kelly Preston. In MI, we lived down the street from Eminem (no, we didn't live on Eight Mile, this was when he started making $).

Ted Nugent lives about 2 towns over or at least one of his many homes is there.

Eminem is from the east side of Michigan, I believe he still has a house there and Kid Rock is from the Traverse city area I believe.

David Letterman lives in my town (North Salem, NY). Other celebrities have, too-- it's JUST far enough from the city to have a lovely, horse-filled life, but within easy commuting distance.
Michael Imperioli (Goodfellas, the Sopranos) doesn't live here any more, but he grew up in the bordering town of Brewster, NY and went to Brewster High School, where DBF went to school.

None in my town that I know of but several in my county...we are about 1 hour north of NYC and I know we have David Letterman, Don Imus, Mel Gibson, Kathie Lee & Frank Gifford, Joanne Woodward to name a few, all probably within 1/2 hour drive of my house.

John Goodman and the rapper Nelly both have houses in the smallish suburb of West St. Louis County where I grew up (and where my parents still live...you can baaaaaarely see Nelly's house (enormous) across the valley if you're standing on my parents' front porch in the winter since the trees are all bare.

Ryan Howard (Philadelphia Phillies) went to my high school, and St. Louis Blues prospect goalie Ben Bishop is from the next town over from me.

A lot of celebrities, athletes and otherwise, seem to return to St. Louis to live once their careers are on the backburner. I couldn't begin to tell you how many former Cardinals (baseball and football) and Blues came here to play and then stayed.

Other than that, we have the Busches (as in Anheuser-Busch), Chuck Berry, Tina Turner, Jon Hamm (Mad Men, I believe, and he's actually on my TV as I type this, doing a Blues hockey promo), Scott Bakula, Yogi Berra (one of my aunts went to grade school with him), Harry and the rest of the Carays, Joe Buck, Kevin Kline, Tim Dunigan (was Davy Crockett on the Disney series in the late '80s--his parents and my grandparents were best friends and inseparable until they passed away), Robert Guillaume (Benson), the Wallace family of NASCAR drivers, Maya Angelou, Linda Blair (the girl in The Exorcist), Betty Grable, Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond), and it seems like the entire cast of The Office is from here (well, not really, but Jenna Fischer, Phyllis Smith, and Ellie Kemper are all St. Louisans).

Well, there's a famous movie star who likes to come and park a big ole' mama jamma $200,000 style RV right down the road from us when he visits his BFF. . .it's one of the little secrets of our neighborhood.

Delilah - you know that syndicated Delilah Love Songs After Dark show (my mom loves it!)... she lives here where I live. At least I am pretty sure - LOL! She has been big on revitalizing the downtown area and actually has a cafe there that I have yet to eat at... plan to take my mom there during her next visit!

I guess she's somewhat of a celebrity... if people have heard her radio show (I live in a small town...)

Obviously the sports players, Lebron and Shaq come to mind. Chrissie Hynde has an apartment in Akron. She hung out at the coffee bar down the road from my HS, and one of the girls in my class knew her. She was nominated for our graduation speaker, but the bores I graduated ultimately chose our US Government teacher. That's all I've got.
