Do you have access to two pools on check out/in day of a split stay?

I have a split Poly/Riv stay this Jan. If I want to head back to Poly the day we check out before we get our Riv room, will my band still work to get me into the parking lot and Lava Pool? I know without one you're good to use the amenities until midnight following check out..

Last time we did a split stay (Poly to Beach Club), we only used the Poly pool/band until we then moved/checked in to Beach Club - basically used it after the "official" check out time, but before we "officially" checked in to Beach Club. Does that make sense? I kind of assumed as soon as we checked in to the next resort, it would invalidate the prior.

Yes, your MB should work for either pool on the out/in day. You're technically a guest of each resort from the day of check-in to the day of check-out. Note that its for the full day. It doesn't matter if you have or have not actually checked in/out.

Yep. Pool access is for the whole day on both check-in and check-out. Transfer day you qualify for both pools all day. You can go back & forth if you really want

Your band 'should' work at the Lava Pool, but it's not unheard of for there to be occasional MB access issues between resorts on the switchover day, especially once you’re checked-in to resort #2.

As a former CM who scanned magic bands at the beach club pool, both your reservations will show up on your magic band as active on your checkout/check in day. So yes you can use both! Your magic band will show valid for the the resort you check out of until midnight.

This is great news!! Thanks so much everyone. I picked Poly and my bf picked Riviera (our first deluxe stays!) and hearing I can swim in that amazing looking pool for a little longer is great since I get three nights and Poly and he got 4 at Riviera!!

I want to encourage you to do two things while you're at Poly (in addition to the Lava Pool):
1. Go down the slide at the Lava Pool. It's in the pitch dark, so it's really fun!
2. Enjoy some time in the Oasis Pool. It's not as exciting as the Lava Pool, but it's saltwater and feels so good!

Thank you for that! We're getting ready to go down and did not know that about Oasis Pool. We're hoping it'll be nice enough to go in the pools 1 or 2 afternoons. There's always the hot tubs as a back up plan,

Salt water??? No way!! I have never swam in a saltwater pool! Thank you for the tips. We are huge pool people and now I’m even more excited.

I'm doing a split stay on our next trip between CBR and Poly. If I'm understanding this right, on the morning we leave CBR if we go straight to the Poly we'll be able to use the pool even if we haven't been able to check in yet. Is that right? If so, great news!

What I can tell you is yes you should. I had access to both Riv and Poly all day and used it!

That is correct. If for some reason your Magicband doesn’t work to get in the Poly pool (not common but it does happen), just make a quick visit to the front desk to explain.

Yes. Typically why I do split stays. Not sure why more folks don’t. Does it take more planning, maybe, but with no FPS anymore, not as much and you can Uber to next resort or if you prefer have a Disney transfer the bags, show up in your swimsuit and plop down until your rooms ready, or meander over to the parks,
