If so-does disney spirit/ caffeine keep you going?
When does it catch up with you?

Or should we simply choose one or the other?

We definitely don't do an evening EMH and turn right around for a morning EMH. . . I was going to say "with my younger kids, we can't. . . " but who am I kidding? I couldn't do it! I suppose if there was some reason I was really set on both EMH, I might sleep in the first day prior to going to evening EMH and on the next day, I'd use EMH to be done by noon and go back to crash at my resort for the afternoon.

Yes I have. And I lived to regret. We were exhausted and cranky. I learned to sleep in the day after night EMHs.

Nah, we're mostly a morning group and it works well to stick with just early days or late nights (for us).

I think it depends on how late the night EMH is? If it's just 10pm, like at Epcot for example, then yeah, we could probably do an 8AM EMH at MK or AK the next morning. But the only night EMH we usually do is MK til 2am, so that's definitely a sleep-in day the next morning.

IT depends on how late you stay up - we are usually up at 4:30 AM for DH to go to work and to bed early like 8:00-8:30 -

But it seems like, at least for us, no matter how late we stya up, we are up EARLY - its partly excitment I think

I think it caught up to us about 5 days in? Thankfully we had a party that night, so we relaxed and went ot the park lateer and then got our party bands

No! We have always been a morning rope drop at the non-emh park family but we love eve. emh, especially at MK and HS! Only one trip did we ever do morning emh and that was when our now grown up kids were super young.

We do this quite a bit actually!.....but we also take a lot of naps!! LOL. We usually have park hoppers and so our day is usually started with whichever park opens earliest or has extra magic morning and we'll stay until about noon because at that point the crowds are usually out of control! Then we go back to the resort and take a good nap and indulge in some A/C. Then we'll head back out around 4 or 5 to whichever park is staying open the latest. We've found that this is better than killing ourselves for an entire day and we miss out on the hottest part of the day and the biggest crowds:).

Nope, the only reason we do evening EMH is so we can sleep in the next day. We've found we can do a MK evening EMH, knock out all of our must do rides then any other time we spend in MK, is just for taking it easy and enjoying the park. The same for Epcot and HS. One year we only rode rides for evening EMH, thankfully there happened to be all three the week of our trip (that is rare now days) so our days were spent just being lazy in the parks, we make no FPs and could just enjoy.

Only when I was young and crazy. (And before I had kids). DW and I went to WDW for our 1st anniversary. It was pretty commando the whole trip. We were young, and still stayed up late back then. I'm not sure we got up early every morning though either. It was 9 years ago, so I don't remember.

We have done it but we also plan a 'Hit the Wall' day. Sleep in and no ADR's and generally planned for late AK day. Stay till closing at AK then back to resort.

This is how we do it as well. I am leaving for work at 4:30a most days (and my husband gives me a ride to the train, so he is up as well). Even with getting up so early, I usually don't go to bed until at least 10p. Having a nice break in the mid-day really helps us. We did build in one late start day for this trip coming up (our F&G day at World Showcase).

I have and this is how I did it

EPCOT had evening hours I slept in until 10:30 when to the park ( I think I did HS) went back to the room around 2 and took about an 90 minute nape got to EPCOT around 6 got back to my hotel at 1 am work up at 7 went to MK ( it only takes me 10 minutes to leave in the mornings) MK had Morning EMH stayed at MK until about 11 then went back to my hotel took a nap

but I have never done all day if you want to do this I would take a rest at your hotel

I have done, but I don't recommend it. Even if you're feeling motivated, your body may not comply. We average 5-10 miles per day walking; your body needs to recover. You may not hit the wall the next day, but it will probably be the day after that.

We tried once, and it totally derailed our plans for the rest of the week, everyone was so exhausted. Never again, lol!

Just to add-

We never do parks all day.
Generally arrive at rope drop -leave after or around lunch and return after dinner (if all bodies comply)

My family and I did. We did rope drop at MK and stayed for EMH until 1am and then made it to EPCOT a little after 8 for their EMH. It was our first trip so we were excited, but it caught up to us by the end of the week. We were all really tired. I was able to enjoy my whole trip, though. I say I ran off of pixie dust and caffeine that week.
However, I enjoyed both EMH and don't know how I would choose. Some of my family decided to stay for an hour or so of evening EMH and then do morning EMH, which was a good idea. You get both.

I think this might be the compromise we're looking for.
