Do you give anything for your childs class for end of the year?

With all the talk about end of the year stuff, here's another question for you. Do you do anything for your childs class for end of the year? I was thinking of over the weekend (DD gets out of school next Tuesday) making little beaded friendship bracelets for all the girls in the class, but I can't think of anything for the boys. Any suggestions?

NO,NO,NO! I know I am really anti-gift, but I just hate it when every occasion turns into Christmas! (though I think giving all classmates a gift at Christmas is also overkill)

Not usually. This year, however, my youngest daughter is 'graduating' from preschool and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. So, I'm making up candybar covers and she'll hand out a special Hershey Bar to each of her classmates.

I just figured I would send cupcakes to DDs kindergarten class. Kids love sweets.

Last year when my daughter was in Kindergarten I sent bags/gifts for the kids every holiday. Easter, Valentines, St. Patrick's day - you name it! I was also an art docent in the class, so at the end of the year I gave all the kids a little tiny paint set as a gift.

This year on the other hand, I haven't been to the class that often so I hardly know the kids; I'm not crazy about the teacher and I really don't seem to be that into the whole gift thing anymore. It's too time consuming, too stressful (always trying to out-do myself) and I end up spending too much money.

If you want to treat the kids to a gift, send cupcakes. Cupcakes are cheap, quick and a real crowd pleaser. The kids LOVE cupcakes. Anything else you send home is just going to get thrown away anyway.

I have never done this. Our kids always have some kind of end of the year party. This year DS's class is having pizza and games. DD's class is having an ice cream party. I am purchasing the ice cream.
