Do you get tired of eating out for every meal?

My family also loves going out to eat. To us thats just part of vacation..The thing is to mix it up.. Yea it would get boring just doing burgers and fries but WDW is so much more than that! You can get chinese, mexican, japanesse, mediteranian(sp?) fish, chicken, lamb, beef, pork, shrimp, plenty of different veggies.. I would normally NOT eat pastries for breakfast but I will in WDW! I eat enough sandwhiches at home and work..My family would revolt if I tried that on vacation. See here at home we are frugal, bring food to waterparks and work. I think if you go to allears and plan out your menus youd not only have alot of fun but you could give yourself some peace of mind. I think your worried about your family having healthier options and WDW has that too. Its not like every other theme park I promise! I see you as someone who is just looking out for you family. I think it would be a nice change for you and your family let vacation be completely different and back at home they will appreciate your efforts even more! Have fun!!

We just got back from a 2-week vacation, all eating out, including 5 nights at Disney. Yes, I couldn't wait to have my own food again...eating out that much is not too easy on the tummy for me.

However, it was a pleasure not to have to cook for 2 weeks!! ;)

While I LOVE not having to shop or cook, I'll be honest... I would have just killed for a plain ham and cheese sandwich after eight days of eating three meals a day and snacks out last year. I just can't eat a big sitdown meal every night, and if I'm craving something, that's what I want, and nothing else will do. Sometimes I want a handful of popcorn, half of a leftover porkchop, and a fudgesicle for supper, you know? Or I want a chicken salad sandwich with Pringles and lemonade for breakfast.

DH also thought I was crazy one night last year because I wanted to get a Digiornio microwave pizza for one and eat it instead of going to Ohana. I was exhausted and craving some pepperoni and wanted to eat it and be done instead of having to sit through a 2 hour dinner.

:rotfl: My DH was like you, by the end of a 10 day trip he wanted tuna sandwiches. He was also wishing for leftovers. At home he turns them all into sandwiches but no reason to do that at Disney so he was conflicted....finish every bit every night or leave those leftovers to go to waste :confused3 I was still happy with someone else preparing my salads, but then our vacation is the only time I give that task up.

DH can get that tuna at Columbia Harbor House and take a look at the kids menu for that plain ham sandwich (Sunshine Seasons and I believe the pizza place in MK Fantasyland as well as DHS could probably do that for him). Finally, Earl of Sandwich in DTD can do it plain too.

I think that leftovers void can be filled via snack credits....:lmao:

If you really don't want to eat out so much, you could stay in a villa and cook for yourself.

As for me, I will enjoy eating out. I can cook plenty when I am home.

As a single mom that works fulltime and is in school getting a MBA. I am the master of 20 minutes meals. I beat good ol'Rachel Ray beat by 10 minutes! Although my meals are not as good as hers! Eating out does not always fit in my budget. I do enjoy eating out and trying new foods, it's nice to sit down relax and be served!

HELLZ NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I DESPISE cooking! Well not the actual cooking but I make a HUGE mess when I cook and the clean up is the worst for me.

I will NEVER EVER EVER get tired of eating out. I work FT and so does DH and opposite shifts so dinner and all evening duties with the kids is all me. Cooking being one of them! DH doesn't know how to cook anything.

So yes having someone serve me is great! DH couldn't care less if we didn't eat out while there since he doesn't cook. He even mentioned the last time we were there that we should pack lunches for the parks. :scared1: I told him he lost his effin mind! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I told him that was fine if he got to the store, bought everything, packed it himself and fed it to us! That was the end of that!!!!!!!!

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :worship: My kinda gal, can we be friends? My hubby is picky, so at home we have to eat out at only one restaurant. The rest is at home cooking!!!

No, I will never get tired of eating in Disney restaurants or any on vacation. I am a stay at home wife who cooks all the time, and I enjoy not having to worry over what we will be eating while on vacation. I consider it the same as I do not worry over not cleaning the bathroom, not changing the sheets on the bed and not taking the trash out. My DH is not going to work during the vacation..why should I have to cook.....:confused3

I don't mind eating out everyday as long as I have variety and Disney has variety.. With the DDP, I don't have to have burgers and fries everyday. I am good.

HAHAHA I get sick when I come back from disney and have to eat normal food lol.

I love DISNEY food so I will never get sick of eating out while I am there.

Not Disney-specific, but my husband and I do get tired of eating out after awhile. We just took our first cruise (to Alaska) in June and, by the time we got off the ship, we were ready to be able to have easy PB&Js again. Of course, that may have had more to do with the whole structured dining experience.

We both love eating out but I think after a number of days, we're ready to rummage through our freezer, see what's there, and make our own food. ;)

I kind of wondered that myself.

I rarely eat out at all. I live by myself so I don't make anything that takes too long to prepare.

I'm looking forward to not making meals for 2 weeks. I'm planning on ordering steak at all the TS restaurants if available. Otherwise it is chicken-I don't like a lot of things. I can't stand any sauces, mayo, etc. I'm just glad we have the free dining - otherwise I'm sure I would be sick of CS meals for 2 weeks.

We have quite a few buffets so that should help. Love fresh fruit and naked salad. Will have to get some pb&j sandwiches. I love my peanut butter sandwiches.

No, I rarely eat out at home, so I enjoy it as much as I can while on vacation. The food is a major part of the trip for me.

I could eat out every night the rest of my life...I love sushi and creme brulee and exotic dishes that take 30 ingredients that I would never make at home. My kids could live on mac and cheese, everyone gets what they want. We still eat out at least 4 times a week. I travel for work and am gone for a week at a time and every meal is eaten out. The only thing I cant get often is a blackened catfish sandwich that I make. And of course I make the best gravy, but I would rather it be not as good and someone else do it so I can sit down and enjoy a meal with my kids from start to finish and not clean up.

I NEVER get tired of eating out. I don't enjoy cooking and will admit...I'm not the best cook either. I LOVE eating out, never tire of it and can't wait to eat out for 14 days when we leave for Disney 3 weeks from TODAY.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :

If I could afford to eat out every night of the week I would. I hate cooking!!!

I couldn't have said that better myself. I am the "cook" and some days I don't mind, but most I just hate it.
For me, one of the perks of vacation is eating out. I love it. We have tried several places at Disney and enjoyed most of them. Some food is the same place to place, like the cornbread is the same at the places that serve it, the ribs are too. The BBQ sauce they use is the same as well. But some places have totally different dishes. Not all the food has been the best, but some is really great. But for me, I am so happy I am not the one cooking.
Now you sound like you do alot of homemade stuff, so it may be different for you. I never make bisquits unless it comes out of a tube. LOL! So you may miss some of your homemade dishes. But I think most people would rather have someone else cook for them.

I greatly look forward to eating out each night on vacation. At home I work full time and I cook EVERY night. I am a diet controlled diabetic so I avoid all starches, sweets, etc.... DH lives on french fries, onion rings, breaded fish, hamburgers, pasta, doesn't care much for steak, or chicken, dislikes pork and hates most all veggies. So, as you can see I end up cooking 2 different meals each night. On vacation, we can each get what we want and it is no hassle.
I make ADR's at a variety of restaurants so there is a different "style" of cooking each night, and we don't get tired of the same type of food.

Eating out every night on vacation IS my vacation.:goodvibes

Sure! LOL :goodvibes

I have to have a defense for DH. As a kid they always went to Disney every year. They never did the restuarants! :confused3

His father was really cheap and made them pack their meals and eat at the condos at the other meals. He said they would have to leave the park, go back to teh car, eat and then go back to the park.

I said NOOOOOOOO this is vacation!!!!!!!!! At our first vacation we were relaly young and did all CS because I didn't know about the TS. This past vacation I booked the character meals nad he wasn't saying much but wasn't too thrilled. Mostly because DH can be cheap at times too! :scared1: Well our first meal was CP and Pooh is his favorite as a kid and he was HOOKED!!!!

We splurge when on vacation and he is so happy that I plan all of this! :lmao:
