Do you get discount to room if you have Premier Annual Pass?

Hi,

My son has Premier Annual Pass and we are trying to book room only at Pop for this November. He heard that he get better discount as Premier Annual Pass. Is this true?

If so, does he contact Disney via phone to reserve?

And also, just curious about booking with TA:

1. When using TA, everyone seem to mention not like being on the phone with Disney when making reservation because it takes too long so you use TA...why do you call instead of doing it on line? Is calling better? If so, why?

2. We did contact TA and got quote but I played around online and looked at Disney site for their price and tickets at Parksavers and my figure came out much cheaper than TA. Reading here, you guys are saying TA can get better quote because they have block of reservation? Now I am confused......

3. Because I will only need ticket for myself, I am trying to price out room at Pop for 2 of us and so far everyone seem to have about the same price range....and TA price seem no different than Disney site. Am I doing something wrong?

Any advise is much appreciate. Thank you

AP discounts are the same for every level of AP. He should sign on to MDE and then just look at discounts, it will have a section for AP discounts. They are not always any better than the general discount, as a matter of fact I've only had one time where it was better to use the AP discount than to use the general discount through Orbitz then use their % off discount. He can book on line or phone.

I haven't used a TA in years, I used to go through AAA because they had a discount with Disney but that relationship has been severed. There is a specific TA that does get block rates that some use but it's name can't be mentioned on these boards since it's a competing TA. I've never used them because I'm never travelling during the dates they offer and I don't do packages since I have an AP.

Just to be clear, the particular TA that you are referring to does also allow you to book room only rates. We are AP holders and we have a room only rate booked through them for November 2016.

There are tons of TAs one can mention by name (and full URL). If you can't name one, there's generally something else going on.

OP, all but that one will come in at the same price as Disney. Decrease your costs by getting room-only then buying tickets elsewhere for cheaper. Unless you *want* a package, which it doesn't sound like you do.
