Do you get a discount if you book your next cruise while on board?

Just curious if they give you a discount of any kind for booking while onboard?

If you book on board, the only thing DCL is offering right now is ship board credit of $100 for 3 & 4 day cruises and $200.00 for 7 day cruises. This credit is per stateroom booked, NOT per person.

Of course there's the early bird discount but that is available even if booked after you get off.

If you book a cruise onboard can the reservation be transfered to Dreams?

yes, i think i have read on numerous past threads that you can transfer over to dreams. not a hundred percent sure though...

You can have them book it through Dreams while you are on board if the cruise that you are sailing on is booked with Dreams. Just let them know to book it through the same TA. They can get in touch with Dreams with the information. Just follow up when you get back to make sure that Dreams gets the info.

Does anybody know if they are still giving DVC members a break on points if you rebook during the cruise?

Thanks!!
Ginny

Ginny, Yes, I saw a paper that showed point breaks for DVC members booking while on the ship.

Woo hoo! Thanks Joyful!!

Do you happen to know if you have to book within a 12-mo window? That's what happened last year...and what a pain. We vacation during Sept (to celebrate our anniversary)...but due to the rebooking requirements for DVC members, we had to book in August. I'd hate to have to book for July (hot! hot! hot!).

Thanks again!!!!

When booking onboard do you get the early booking discount AND the stateroom credit? In other words you could do a 7 day for $799 and get the credit???

We just booked on board for 1/2004 and got cat 9 $899 per person (7 day eastern) and $200 per stateroom credit.

Just let them know to book it through the same TA.
Does this work for any TA, or just Dreams? I would LOVE to book through Costco again -- 10% off is sweet, and the service has been just fine. But the early booking savings and $200 would be cool too.

Has anyone transferred an on-board booking to a TA other than Dreams?
