Do you find Orlando hotels humid?

Just got back from one week of 95-100 degree days in Orlando and our hotel room felt damp the whole time (the lobby and halls were fine) - bathing suits and towels did not dry overnight but 3 hours on the car dashboard and they were crisp. Just wondering if this was unique to our hotel room or if it is common for Orlando.

If we ever drive, I may consider bringing our small dehumidifer.

I believe this is par for the course in FL. When the in-laws were wintering down there they had the same comments about the bathing suits not drying. It is what it is, I guess. :)

It's actually quite normal around here, due to the very high humidity levels.

It's also why basically every building in Central Florida (and, indeed, across the South) blasts Air Conditioning during the summer, occupied or not. Without AC or constant vigilence, mould begins to form on everything after a couple of days.
