Do you find a light jacket/sweater necessary?

I am afraid that if I don't lug around six jackets/sweatshirts that we are going to freeze in the restaurants - do you do this?

The only place where we have consistently shivered without a sweater is Boma. In CS restaurants, there can be a chill wind if your table is right under an AC vent, but it's usually easy to move to warmer climate in those instances.

If you are going in Sept it should not be too much of a problem. Air conditioning will feel very good as it is so hot outside. I sometimes get cold easily but I have never taken a jacket or sweater with me anywhere in all our Sept trips.

I always take a light sweatshirt along, but almost never put it on.

Two in our family always do. Even ride AC is too much for us sometimes, and we use ours often. I've gone without and been so miserably cold I couldn't enjoy my meal...so it's worth it for us!

My wife would say yes, I would say no. If you, by nature, easily get cold in air conditioning, you might want to bring something heavy.

My mother-in-law called Crystal Palace the Ice Crystal Palace when we were there this July. She actually said it was "painful". Meanwhile, I was nice and comfy.

I tend to wear a sweater at table service restaurants. At first, the AC feels nice, but once you are cooled down from outside, it can get too cold. If I don't have a jacket/sweater, I sometimes catch a cold from all the hot/cold extreme changes I go through with restaurants, stores, buses, etc. I would rather carry mine than be miserable. Now, I don't know how I'll feel when I have six to lug around. :rotfl:

We don't carry them during the day, but we take a light sweater or jacket for evening. DD has sat shivering through dinner, not fun.

only in January when the highs were in the low 50s...in May & September we never got too cold in a restaurant or attraction air conditioning...instead we were always seeking out the a/c to cool off, lol.

I'm afraid of this too. We went in Dec last time and I loved carrying the backpack, it helped keep me warm, and of course had space for a sweater for everyone. We are going in Sept this year, not looking forward to a backpack, so found a smaller sling bag. I'm going to take a couple scarfs/shaul this trip. They fold up small and I find they are great wrapped around your shoulders to keep warm:goodvibes

I always tend to get cold in AC...we always go to WDW in summer. At night I always bring a very lightweight button down shirt that I can fold up really small and throw over me while I eat. I can enjoy my meal more when my teeth are not chattering!;)

Definitely. We all carry hoodies for air conditioned attractions/restaurants. I've frozen one too many times going into ac after a downpour!

For my trips in Sept NEVER...It is so incredibly gross outside that I like the air. For my trips in Dec..Absolutely

We had meals in Rainforest Cafe (AK) and Mythos (Universal) which were really spoiled by being so cold. In Mythos everyone asked the staff to open the doors and let the warmth in, we were all stepping outside between courses to warm up!!! It seems really silly to us.

It's interesting to me to see that so many people find it very cold. In general I'm cold a lot of the time, but I have never felt uncomfortable in any attractions or restaurants at WDW. We usually go to TS meals from our resort so I am likely to wear a golf shirt, not sleevless, so maybe that makes the difference.

When the outside temps are below 70 I bring a track jacket or wear a sweatshirt but any other times we dont need it....in the hotter months the cold restaurants are heavenly!

last year, in August, it was about 98degrees outside. At the show the kids were miserable. (I was cold too.) They were going around and offering all the kids clean tablecloths to wrap themselves up in. :confused3

We go in late August/early September and I always bring a zip-up jacket with me to the restaurants. I find the restaurants to be very cold, but I feel that way for most of the other indoor attractions as well.
