Do you?
Just wondering where you all stand.
We just had a fourth bomb threat in the past month. We can no longer carry backpacks. I guess it not that I dont feel safe, but I'm getting sick of it. And yes we do make the whole day up, regardless of what time it happens at. Our doors do not lock.etc blah blah blah blah my school doesnt really take security measures :sad2:

What's the deal with your schools?

I feel okay at my current school, but my old one was scary. I think maybe three kids got caught with guns in their backpacks, a kid was getting tasered or arrested weekly, fights happened all the time, and there was lots of gang related activity. It was ridiculous. Someone got shot at the Albertsons that is right next to it, and they were all students of that school. Blegh, I'm glad I'm out of there.

Yes, there's always 2 or 3 teachers in all of my classes besides for music, then I have only 1. If anything happened the teacher across the hall would hear someone scream or something.

With 900 kids around me?
Yes, I feel safe.
Only about 100 kids at my school are capable of actually going forward with any threat.
And they're sweet people or not dumb enough.
There have been bomb threats at other schools though.

My old school? There were people getting arressted left and right, it was crazy.
My current school? It's a small, "specialized" school. Yeah, I guess I feel safe there, I've never really been scared anything would happen to me there, but I never really thought about it before.

I have never felt totally safe, but I'm not scared either.

Yea I actually do. We have codes and plans that we do if something happens. Cleverly name Code 1 and Code 2 (my school is full of geniuses!lol)
They took more security measures since last year a kid came in with a homemade bomb and set it off in the hallway. (No one was hurt ,just damage to tile) ANd then the next day another kid (acomplise of the first kid) let a note that said a bomb was hidden somewhere in the school.

i do feel very safe in school.

there has never been a shooting in our school or anything or threats. and no one has even gotten hurt on school property either.

and we have this new drill. so yea i feel pretty safe. plus our doors lock after 4 and during school (except for the front) and every guest has to have a badge. so i pretty much do.

i'd die at a school where everyone shoots eveyone else.

yes. i do.
my school like most everyone elses. codes and drills...
plus its a DODDs school on base so extra security...
or at least thats what my mom says...:D

i feel somewhat safe. we have never had a bomb threat and police cars aren't up our school that often the only danger we get is the pupils who smuggle knifes in their bags and drugs and stuff like that. people have been stabbed with knifes in our corridors just randomly but thats about the worst

We have an entire school population of more or less than 400 students. We live in a very small town, obviously small school and everyone knows everyone heh. I guess I feel sort of safe. We've have more than enough issues with kids bringing in guns, bullets, drugs, and what not...a kid is scheduled to court in November for killing a man with his car while on pot and speeding. We had a kid expelled for bringing a gun into school and threatening to kill certain kids. He had a hit list. Yesterday the cops were out searching a kid and his car for God knows what.

Despite all that, I think I know most of the other kids well enough to know that there aren't going to be any bomb scares or actual gunfire in the school. I feel pretty safe.

I do feel safe at my school :goodvibes Its in the countryside sort of anyway :teeth:
We don't have bomb threats or anything like that.........The worst thats ever happened is that people keep hitting and attacking eachother for silly reasons but i guess that happens at every school :)

i agree..........i mean anywhere i go i have a fear that something will happen; but usually, nothing does.

Being in the country means nothing. We have seven towns that make up my highschool.
:sad2: And just wanted to add they have taken the doors off the bathroom stalls. Needless to say a lot of our rights are being violated and we are fighting for them. I will be holding it until I come home.

My school has had one breach of security (whatever you wanna call it) in over 10 years.

i guess so since we never get things like bomb threats, people with hidden weapons, etc. but here is the usual fight at lunch and then the daily food fight and then the things like chucking paper at each other in a classroom (the only bad thing i can think of is someone chucked a pencil into someone's eye... and 4 years later after being arrested for graffiting, being sent to a military school in Asia, countless expulsions and suspensions, fighting and anger problems he's still not been expelled...)

so basically same old same old...
