Do you ever use the 'Search' function on the planning boards???

If you do, you may have noticed Pete is trying out a new search engine, one that is actually removed from the DIS servers, somewhere else I guess. Alex posted a thread on the Tech board, CLICK HERE to try and get some thoughts from the folks who use search.

If you are a poster who has used the new search, maybe stop by and give your thoughts. If you do periodically use search, but have not in the past day, maybe do a trial search, see what you think, and then give them some feedback. Feedback from the actual users is always the best way to see how something is working.

I do, but I'm not caring for the new search engines. Unless I'm doing it wrong, it will only search for the posts that you made and not those you have contributed to, but did not start.

Terk, from what I gather, it will search for a particualr poster, but only on threads where that poster was the OP. It will search words, but only if those appear in the subject line of a thread. I think that is how it works. Make sure to pass your thoughts on the Tech board, they are really looking for feedback.
