Do you ever hand out Fast Passes and What Looks do you get

Do you ever hand out fast passes. We have young kids (4 & 7) and it is not unusual for us to have un-expired fast passes that we aren't going to use because the kids are bushed and want to leave. So as we are leaving the park, we head to the ride to give the fast passes to "who ever looks needy".

The range of respones goes from THANK YOU VERY MUCH to a look of total cluelessness as to what we are trying to give them (like some how we are trying to scam them

My Mum tried to hand a young couple at IOA two passes for Spiderman and got some confused looks from them. I went over and discovered they were German and didn't understand what she was getting at. I can speak German so I explained - they were really thrilled and rushed off because the passes only had five minutes left on them! It was at least 95 degrees, 2pm and the line was over 90 minutes long so I expect it made their day somewhat more enjoyable! They were right by the entrance so just beginning their day at IOA whereas we'd done the smart thing, arrived at 8.30am and went on 4 times without any wait (until I turned a shade of green - that ride makes me sick!).

On a solo trip I decided not to use my FP for Kilimanjaro Safari and walked over to the standby line, asking if anyone wanted it. There was a pause of several seconds where everyone just looked at me, and then a middle-aged woman gleefully snatched it from my hand. As I walked away I heard a few groans as others realized what they'd missed.

We did this a lot on our trip a few weeks ago .

Dd wanted to do a scrapbook page on Refused Fastpass ( I have no Idea why ) So at MK one day we went and got the regular FP then put it in again to get the refusal.

We gave some of the real FP away as we were not going to be using them as we were heading to other parks they mid-day and night.

Some people knew right away and thanked us other just refused I tries to find people as they were walking up to the stand-by lines and looking up at the wait clock time.

Pick me! Pick me! Someone else posted about people refusing fast passes - maybe it seemed like a scam to them if they didn't know what they were!

Once I thought someone had LEFT two fast passes on the Peter Pan ride fast pass machines. I got all excited until I saw they were REFUSED ONES! BUMMER!

We had out our Fast Passes when we know we wont use them.

We get lots of Thank Yous, but also get a look like they think we are trying to give them cooties or something. And it is not a language barrier either...A lot of times it seems people just dont trust you would give them a "golden ticket" for free. I actually once heard someone tell the person they were with "Dont take that ticket from them! They obviously want something for it!"...Nope, we were just to tired to make it ALL the way back across the MK for another ride on Space Mountain, it was time to head back to the hotel & sleep. The next couple was very happy we handed them our fast passes though.

On our last day, we got fast passes for soarin' but were given bonus fast passes for Living with the Land. After we rode soarin', my husband handed off the free fast passes to someone in the standby line. They were thrilled.

We would of used them if we had time, my four year old loved that ride, but, alas, we had to catch a plane home.

We tried to give away Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster fps in DL and people looked at us like we were trying to give them garbage. It's Disney folks, Magic happens!

We had fast passes for Mission Space, DBF got them with the crazy notion that I was going on an we actually got yelled at by a foreign couple when we asked them! They gave us a major attitude I guess they didnt understand, but we asked a few other people if they wanted them and they looked at us like we were trying to sell them the Brooklyn Bridge! See if Im nice anymore

The few times I've actually given up a Fast Pass (it doesn't happen often, folks! ) I've gotten positive responses a couple of times, but usually people look skeptical. I guess that's the world we live in now, where no one trusts anyone else.

I've been given Fast Passes before, and I ALWAYS accept happily!

I always try to give my unused FP out before leaving the park. The last week of June I receiced 5 FP's for BTMR. It was late in the day, and my grandson want to ride one more time before leaving, so we went to the ride to check on the wait, upon arriving, a man asked if I was interested in 5 FP's., oh I thank you, and my grandson thanks you. The line was over and hour wait. He had a grand time on the ride, and we appreicate anyone giving up their FP's when not needing them. In turn, I make sure I do the same.

We were in Epcot a few days before Christmas. We had gone to see my little sister sing in the Candle Light Processional. It was my grandma, mom, sister and I so we went to Soarin to get a fastpass which wasn't for much later in the night, well after the CP. Knowing we'd have my little sister with us after the CP and she didn't have a ticket because they were bussed into Italy but allowed to spend the rest of the night in Epcot, so I asked the CM working at the fastpass if it was possible to get another one and the lady happily gave me one.

So right after CP, my grandma and mom decided they were way to cold to stay in Epcot and headed back to the hotel. My sisters and I headed to our Soarin fastpass timeframe. The fast passes had LONG been given out and the line was 90 minutes long. We had 2 extra fastpasses.

A man and a little girl were holding hands coming into the Soarin area to ride and he saw the 90 minute long line and was talking to his little girl who was about 5. They started to turn and walk away and I went up to them and asked them if they had wanted to ride. He was a little perplexed at me asking at first and then I offered him the 2 free tickets. He was grateful for them but his prediciment was that his wife and baby were waiting elsewhere and the 2 of them were going to ride and then swap out and mom and daughter were going to ride but he saw the line was too long. So he wanted to give his wife the chance to ride it with their daughter if they only had the 2 fastpasses to use.

Then I told them about baby swap and how when he and his daughter went into the line, to tell them they were doing a baby swap and would get a ticket so that when he came out, his wife and dd would get to ride. He was leaving to find them when we got in line. Later we saw the man and his daughter again and they had done just that and they were SO appreciative to me. I was so happy I made their day..

A funny thing from all that was when we hopped into the fast pass line, we passed by tons of my little sisters chorus mates (who she doesn't really care for) waiting in the 90 minute line and they are all looking at her like WTH?!?

I've absolutly handed out fastpasses that I never got to use and I've found the people receiving them to be refreshingly appreciative. They seem like "What did I do to deserve this" as if it's the best gift they've ever been given! I've also been on the receiving end and I feel the same way when someone is kind enough to pass this on to me.

i've given out unused fp for splash to people waiting in the standby line. i think people usually just look confused at first since they seem to not know what you're asking/telling them. once it clicks you'll get a nice thank you.

We always hand out passes whenever we happen to have some left and need to exit (little ones, too), and it's the same -- some people get it and are very psyched while others eem very perplexed!

We've never had unused FPs before, but last time we were at AK, My H, son, and I rushed to the back of the park (we didn't get there right at the opening) because the safari is my absolute favorite. FPs were gone for the day, and the line was 2 hours long! I was so bummed! I stood there pouting for a minute and a nice man (maybe one of you!) said, "do you need some fastpasses?" Not quite getting it, I said, "They're all out." He said, "How many do you need?" I said, "There's 3 of us." He said, "Here! You can use these!" I think I shrieked or something. I just know I had a huge smile on my face and wanted to kiss that man! We had a great time and saw more animals than we've EVER seen!

So, to whoever that was, it made our day and we still talk fondly of you!

Our flight home was at 12:05 on Thursday. We had one day left on our passes and we hit MK at opening, knowing we had to leave in an hour or so for the airport. Rode SM and Buzz without any lines at all. We went to try SM one more time, and it was a 20 minute or so wait, and the FP return time was after 11:00 AM. We went ahead and got two FP's with the sole intention of handing them out to someone on Main St or entering the parks outside the gate.

The person who we gave them to knew exactly what they were and thanked us profusely.

We just wanted to brighten someone else's day who was just entering as we had to return home to MD. What goes around comes around, so maybe we will be the lucky ones next month when we get to go back!!!

Infact, sometimes my son decides he doesn't want to do the atttraction or late at night had enough and he always makes sure we find someone to take our fast passes. He will never throw one out. The neat thing about this is he is only 6 and has been doing it for two years now.


WE just got back last week from a great two week WDW vacation and I bet we gave out at least 10 sets of FPs. Sometimes, it was a single as my wife needed a break. I live to spread the magic when I can and this is one way to do it. You lways see a big smile when you offer them. Especially when the lines are long or the FPs are gone for the say.

I have given them out, and I have received them as well. It is so awesome either way! ALtho in this case, it is better to receive than to give...

Perfect example. Yesterday after riding Expedition Everest two times we headed over to Kali River Rapids and noticed the post wait time was 60 minutes. We wanted to ride it but there was no way we would wait that long. Right when we were about to get Fast Passes for a later time a nice women walked out with her son and was asking for a party of two. I rose my hand and she gave us two fastpasses saying she had more than she needed. So, I thanked her greatly and noticed it was time to ride it. So we really didn't wait at all. We all rode the ride together, it was great - and yes, I GOT SOAKED! LOL
