Do you ever get bored of WDW?

I used to think that, too. Then, apparently, I snapped. We bought into DVC (after making trips to WDW every 2-3 years previously), and I ended up going to WDW 3 times in one year, and I was still giddy on the third trip. We were planning to stay at Vero after our Sept cruise this year, but I couldn't take it and ended up reserving on-site, instead.

My mom winters in FL and didn't go to WDW at all several years in a row. I don't know where I failed in bringing her up...

With DVC we get the best of both worlds: enjoying disney and traveling all over the world. Have enjoyed disney with my kids while they are young and are trading out for Hawaii in 2006 :cheer2: :cheer2:

(My kids are now 6 and 13)

:earseek: I went to WDW this past summer as a graduation present, and my mom and dad asked if I'd rather go to WDW (with a special stop at Daytona to visit family and Key Largo & Key West to visit more family) or Hawaii, both for the same amount of time, about 3 1/2 weeks. As you can see, I picked WDW over Hawaii, and all of my friends say that I was crazy. Personally, there's so much to see and do in WDW. Not just the rides, but the shows, themed dinners, and even hotel hopping is fun, and don't forget just strolling in and out of shops. I'm sure I'll be going to Hawaii with them sometime in the near future, but I opted for WDW because I hadn't been there in about six years. Also, because I picked WDW they traded in our pull-along camper for an even bigger and better motorhome. I don't think I could ever become bored with WDW, there's too much to see and do. :cloud9:

I used to think that but something happened that just clicked. Now we're new owners of the DVC. We love the idea of being able to vacation at WDW whenever we want plus do our other worldly travels. We plan on at least one WDW vacation and one "other" vacation/cruise every year.
I'm surprised how much I notice on each trip. We can slow down because we know we'll be back again. It's all the little details and the feeling of a second home. It's comfortable...it's also very hard to explain.

Sometimes I think it is time to try somewhere new. So this year, we are only staying at POP 3 nights in March. (It's been 5 years since we stayed at a value resort. I hope we like it.) We are using the rest of our travel budget for a family trip to St. Thomas and St. John this summer. This way I get my Disney fix, but also try something entirely new. I can't wait!

...DS's are at the age where THEY were getting bored and couldn't WAIT to get out of the parks(they can't be MY kids!) and 'hit' some of the water activities! Since we haven't been there since summer 2002, it'll be wonderful getting back to the 'World' again. My oldest, 18, is not joining us(school and no 'babysitter' for the dog!), and has no desire to do so. It actually works out better for us, 'cuz now we only have to book ONE room instead of two!

DH and I honeymooned at WDW in April '04 and then were back in December for MVMCP. Neither of us had ever been before our honeymoon. We both had a fab time but something "clicked" in DH. It's like he is living a childhood he never had! As much as I enjoyed it, there are LOTS of other places in the world I want to see. DH seems to just have Disney on the brain as the only vacation destination in the world. Being newlyweds, there are other things that I think should be a priority, like a house and a family! LOL! He is already asking when we can go back and I told him we would talk about it in 2006!

Not at all. I love it more each time we go. It makes me happy, makes my husband happy and I can't even tell you the magic that my son has experienced down there. We take our time and just walk around, some days we don't go on 1 ride, just listen to the background music love talking with Cast Members and seeing the characters. We have made so many incredible friends that it totally feels like we are coming home when we go.

Never. In fact we can't go enough. As a child we would go once sometimes twice per year. I cannot currenltly afford to do that. How lucky I was to have parents to bring me there that often. I only hope I can do the same for my children, whom absolutely love WDW.

That's how I feel exactly. I can't explain it, but I love it! I have 5 kids that I try to take to Disney once a year. They are as crazy about it as I am. Dad isn't, but he is very understanding and tries to send us there when we can.

I don't get bored because I stay at a new resort every time I go and I always try to eat at different places, try some new things. This year will be my first MNSSHP and Food and Wine festival.

So, I never get bored. I am even trying to devise a plan to go back right after Thanksgiving before my AP's expire :)

Besides, every year the kids are a little bit older and like new things. My youngest was not scared of the characters this past year, he was 3. My oldest is finally able to ride the bigger height requirement rides so that is a new expirence that just the two of us share until my youngest is older.

So its always something new.

I have to admit that I'm a bit bored with it. We've changed our style of doing WDW by scheduling a lot more downtime and less time in the parks. Since 1999 we have been going every 6 months (our trips are short because it's hard to coordinate schedules), but DH and I just decided that we are going to switch to doing annual trips instead.

I love WDW, but maybe it's time to venture out into the rest of the world. :)
