Do you ever forget your age?

My DD's and I were playing a game to keep us busy during a long car ride and in the game they had to guess what I was thinking and I gave them clues to the first letter of the word based on questions they asked me. Well, I decided to use my age and so the letter I was thinking of was T, for 29. Well, long into them trying to figure out what I was thinking (a game in itself :teeth: ) I suddenly realized I wasn't 29, but in my late 30's. Oops! At least they both start with T :rotfl:

I've forgotten my name, what school I go to, the pres., the year. But I've never forgotten my age.

I forget everything including my age. Maybe it's because of my age. Wait, what was the question?! :rotfl2:

Myst

depending on my mood.. my age is subject to change. ;)

I've been 29 for so many years now I never forget. :teeth:

The year for me was 33. I couldn't remember my age for anything, always had to figure it out. LOL!

We were eating dinner one night, and my ds asked how old I am. I said 32. My dh looks at me funny, so I give me usual "What?". He says "How old are you?". I say "32". He says "Are you sure?". I sat for a moment and then said "Oops...make that 33". :rotfl:

Yup! I stopped counting after my 23rd birthday so now when people ask me I always have an urge to say 23 before I remember that I'm not :) Sure wish I was though!

hmmm, nevermind i forgot what i was gonna post! :teeth:

Every now and then, I have to try to remember how old I am. I just started noticing that too. :p

And I'm only 32....er...33. :p

I have to stop and think about it sometimes. I quickly do the mental math in my head.
I have a problem with my DD's birthdays. One is March 5 and the other is March 24. I always have to stop and think to make sure I put the right year with the right child.

Once I was flipping through my appointment book and noticed the notation " 31 years old today!" and my first thought was who was that turning so old, then I looked at the day and realized it was MY birthday and I was actually turning 31. They say the minds the first to go....

YES! I asked dh last night if I was 32 or 31 (I'm 32). I seem to forget lately and have to do the math. I think it's psychological.

I have that problem with my kids--my middle two boys are 9/25 and 9/28 and my two bookends are 12/24 and 12/19. There is a 12 year spread between them, but I'm always having to think about the dates of the middle 2. When making a drs appt, etc where I have to give the date I must sound real ditzsy. OK, the secret is out--after this thread people know I'm a bit ditzsy. :rotfl:

And I should just start with a blanket lie--would make it easier. I'll stick with 39 since nobody would believe 29.

nomie74, I was :rotfl2: over your story.

OK, time to go shopping!

I don't forget...I just don't remember so good!

Here I thought I was the only one who had a problem with this! I was mortified one time when I was at the eye doctor and the assistant asked me how old I was. I drew a complete blank, which made me even more nervous! So, I said, 31? (By that time she had already looked at my actualy birth date and figured it out) She said uh no, so I said, 32? She shook her head no again, then I said 33? She laughed and said yes. Now that was over 10 years ago. The same thing has happened periodically since. :earsgirl:

Tigger&Belle, I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this. It seems like after I hit the big "5-0" I have lost track of them!

TC :cool1:

I can never rembember how old I am. Since my husband insists that I am always a year older than I really am. I am 54 but he says no, you are in your 55th year. So, I have to stop and subtract from the current year to be sure of my age.
