Do you ever feel like you are the only person that reads?!? inspired by current book

Yeah I feel like I am the only kid my age (19) who reads books outside of school but I love my books and I won't stop reading them

well seeing as I work in a library I see lots of people taking out books to read

i LOVE to read. i often feel like i am the only person inmy grade that likes to read. my mom and i both share a love of reading and we sometimes share books but i am more of a shopaholic reader and she likes suspense and that sort of thing. though i did borrow these books once that were christian novels. the first one was about this widdowed man who hired a lady to take care of his daughter as he was a busy farmer. for the life of me i cant remember what they are called and they turn into a series and each book tells more and more about the family.

I definately feel that way! When DH and I were at the beach last week I read 4 books and mentioned that to a friend at work on Monday, she said "Wow, that's more than I read in a year!"
Once, when I lived in VA Beach, I brought a new friend home and she looked at all of our bookshelves and said "Hunh, reading. Yeah, I never got into that." What do you say to something like that?! LOL

I read a lot, although not as much as usual since the twins came (3/12/04). just too tired.

nobody beats my dad. He always has about 6 or 7 books going at once. I'm not kidding. he's always reading. I think he inspired my love of it, although usually I'm only reading 1 or maybe 2 at a time.

Dh loves to read, too, although he's been slacking for a bit now.

Daniel, age 2, is NUTS about books already. and DGMIL has basically stocked a full library for him already. hope the twins and Daniel love to read when they get older. there is something about a book that is such an intimate experience. Many times I am almost sad finishing...like I'm letting go of friends.
