Do you ever feel drawn toward a certain place, that you have no ties to?

I cook Meditteranean like I was born to it, even though I'm from the United States. I recently found out that part of my family originally came from the Meditteranean areas of France and Italy.

There's a particular beach in the Northeast section of Oahu. On each trip to the islands I've spent a few days there and felt so at peace that I requested (in my will) to be sprinkled there. So, as a tip to all you travelers -- go now before some of the stuff you're picking out of your bathing suit is me!

maddhatir, isn't being 'regressed' the coolest thing? What amazed me also were the emotions I felt while it was happening. The first time I was sure I was making everything up (plains Indian lifetime, yeah sure, I read Hanto Yo, I could make one up). But as we got 'into my story' it was pretty overwhelming emotionally and I didn't think I could make up all those faces/people instantaneously.

I occasionally 'ask' to have dreams about past lives and sometimes have some very vivid ones. Usually about a past association with someone who's in my life now (especially if it's someone I'm having problems with).

I have 6 of Silvia Brown's Book. She has a section if you want to try to be regressed at home. Dh let me try it on him. He's a good sport & is willing to do anything that involves laying down. :cloud9:

:thumbsup2 Thank you for this thread. Now I know that I am not alone.

I also cry every time that I read something about Italy and going down the
narrow streets. hope that Disers keep posting as I enjoy reading these.

Charleston,Newport, Cape Cod, Nantucket, Charlottesville VA are more, pretty much any small historic town......on the east coast of course-- its stange but i have no desire to visit anywhere else in the US (ok- besides Disney!)- i live on the east coast and just love it- i could not imagine living anywhere else!!

of course when we do visit any small historic town....gotta stay in a B+B!! :thumbsup2

I'm drawn to florida and not for the reason of Disney. I just like the weather, the peple and the vibe down there.

I try to mediate, Wayne Dwyer from PBS has a method I like, any way you Visulize the word OUR FATHER & try to get in the space between. When I get in between tears start steaming down my face. Its eally weird. H ecalls it connecting with your source.

I'm from PA. I am drawn to Florida. I love Florida and everything about it. The weather, the people, the wildlife, everything. I even took my first steps there. We were in Orlando airport going to WDW and I started walking in the middle of the airport. Florida has always been magic to me, even outside of WDW.

I have to say - I love the responses, and have always "known" I've had more than one past life. I could NEVER figure out why in the world I was drawn toward spiral staircases, and not just "oh aren't they neat?" but "FELT" strongly about them, that alone started me on the path of "what is this all about"...

many many years later - I know without a doubt I have lived before. It started with stair cases, and it's grown from there. A very strong connection to my southwestern roots, but just as strong to my Irish and an Asian one! And to people too! People I have met, and instantly feel like they are my "TRIBE"... you know? One day we will have all those answers - but I do recommend GOING to those places... it holds a power and a PEACE about ourselves and souls. Every time I have followed my heart and "feeling" I am rewarded with that embrace once I've gotten there. Italy being one. I guess I've been lucky and have had at least 4 really great lifetimes! This one ain't so bad either! :goodvibes

Someone else mentioned Russia, I have to say that is one of mine too. If I ever got to see the Kremlin, or that other building with the large domes...I think it is a Russian Orthodox Church...anyone remember the name of it...well, I'd really love to see those! I'd love to see them in the winter, especially.

About 5 years ago I went to a fundraiser for a child who was very ill. It was a psyhic fair. I went to a man named Patrick who's description said something about Angles but I did not understand it.

So I sit with SIL for my reading & he was startled by me he said I have 2 spirt guides & angles around me & would end up with my soul mate & he said that is very rare. He also said I was going to have a really bad time but I'll get through it. He said I would live live happlily ever after which is also very rare.

SIL reading was the standard a pipe will flood your house.... & it did a month later.

It was very cool & the beginning of a wonderful journey for me.

Even though I am of Scandinavian descent, I have always been an Anglophile and drawn to anything British. Love the culture. I can sit enthralled at a Merchant Ivory movie when everyone else has fallen asleep. I totally get the slang and could watch the BBC all the time if I could. I love British humor and everytime I see the English countryside in film or a photo I get this yearning to be there. I'm afraid to vist because I think I might just decide to stay there! Maybe I was a Brit in a past life!

I feel exactly the same way about Britain and I am of Italian descent. When I went to Ireland I cried when it was time to come home. This summer I spent three weeks in England and felt completely at home, particularly in Yorkshire where I went on a five-hour hike across the moors. I am already thinking of going back next summer and renting a cottage there. This is particularly strange because my father always felt the British looked down on him for being Italian. I have been to Italy and did not feel the draw and comfort I feel in Britian.

Africa. Since I was little I have wanted to go. I'm particularly interested in Kenya, DRC and Egypt. We always tape anything Nat Geo on Africa. I have artwork on the walls with desert scenes with elephants and others with Egyptian scenes. I have watched all the fictional and autobiographical stuff with Africa being fully aware that every thing I'm seeing is completely fabricated and Hollywood. I think the draw for me is I KNOW it is like no other place I have ever been. I know there are so many incredible places there that are just wild and uninhabited. I have travelled a lot and this is one of the areas I have never been. Unfortunately, I doubt I will ever get to visit. Maybe that is the other appeal...that it is so so far away.

For me its the Caribbean.. I have found such a love with the Caribbean.. We started cruising in 2002 and have been 6 times so far and have a trip later this year.. and another for next year.. The beauty of the islands there just draws me back.. its beautiful..

OK we are addicted to both cruising & the Caribbean. And funny we also have one planned for May 2017 & April 2018:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Mine is both a time period and place. I have always since I was very very young, single digits been obsessed with Nazi Germany. More specifically Ravensbruk, when I traveled there I had a visceral reaction that knocked me to my knees.

I wouldn't want to regress just because of this.

:coffee:Doh. Geez.
I obviously am in la la land today. Didn't even notice that.

I guess I should try waking up before reponding to anything on here.
