Do YOU do Rockin Roller Coaster? ...

DO IT. You will absolutely love it. RnR is one of the best rides ever. I don't know anybody that didn't think it was the greatest.

I'm not a big roller coaster fan... I get motion sickness very easy. This time around, I was determined to try RNRC, so I took some bonine.

I can't emphasize enough how fast you take off.... I think I lost my breath it was so fast. I've talked to other people that say the start of RNRC isn't that fast compared to othe bigger coasters, but for someone that is not used to such a take off, it is quite venture!

That being said, after the take off, the whole ride wasn't too bad; I'm glad I went. I didn't get motion sick and the "upside down" part was so quick and smooth, you don't even notice it.

Prepare yourself for the initial take off, and the rest of the ride is fine. Good luck!

I wouldn't miss it! It's absolutely awesome. The launch just knocks the breath right out of your lungs - it's stunning. Don't skip it - you'll be so glad that you rode. It's smooth and you're upside down so fast, you don't really have time to think about it. They call it ROCK and roller coaster for a reason, it ROCKS!:hyper:

Let me preface my post by saying I am a grandmother! I love this ride! However, there is one consideration as this ride is FAST (and I do mean FAST!!!). Take off is e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y intense, and then in less than 3 seconds it goes into the upside down part. If you didn't know the inversion was coming, you would probably get off and not even realize you were upside down, it's over so fast. But, here's a major observation that has helped me be able to enjoy this ride again and again... The take off involves intense strobe lights. If you sit in a car towards the back, your brain has that split second to input the take off past the entrance. The one and only time I rode in the 2nd car from the front I did not like this ride.

I don't ride too many coasters either, HOWEVER, RnR is out of control fun! I LOVE this ride and believe me, I am a chicken!

Go for it, you won't regret it!

RnR is the reason DH and I keep going back to DW. We are coaster lovers and have ridden all kinds, and I would have to say that this is probably the smoothest coaster I have ever ridden. It does take off fast but that is part of the fun. You also HAVE to keep your eyes OPEN. The glow in the dark decor of the ride is really cool. Try it at least once. We usually ride it 5-7 times on our trips. Maybe more this year. We are going in January and everyone says the lines are short. Hope they are right!!:D

This is one of my favorite rides at WDW!!! I managed to get my younger sister on it last year and she HATES coasters!!:scared: After her first ride, she could not get enough!!!:hyper:

Try it, you will love it!!!!

This was on my "must do" list for our September trip, and DH backed out on me so I went solo. I'm not a big coaster fan (hate heights) and you'd never catch me on TOT. I'm also well over the average age for this ride! I did it, but I'm not sure I will again. It was scary and fun at the same time. The take-off was incredible, and don't believe those that say you don't know you go upside down! It was quick and smooth, but I KNEW!! I even had tears blowing out of my eyes!
DO IT - it's so smooth and the pre-show is great. Gotta love that music!
Walk this way...

I agree with jdads2 and Taylor - as coasters go, this one is comparatively tame. Having said that, it
s still a lot of fun. The theming is pretty good, particularly the pre-ride and queueing and unloading areas. And the take-off is an absolute hoot! It's very smooth throughout.

I'd say you should go for it!! :)

I absolutely hate Space Mt., but I love RnR. Space Mt. is jerky and scares me, but RnR is so smooth. You know you are going upside down but it is so smooth that you don't really notice it. Try it, you'll love it. I was scared the first time we rode it. I can remember that the song playing was "Dude Looks Like a Lady." I just kept singing the song loudly to get my mind off what the ride might do. By the time the ride was over, I was hooked. I ride it multiple times each trip. Good luck:)

If you can handle ToT, you can definitely take RnR!!! It is fast, but it is smooth and it is so much fun!!! I really enjoy this ride a lot!!!! So go on it and enjoy :)

Well, have we convinced you yet?
Everyone is right, it's great. PixieMagic convinced me to try it a few years ago (I hadn't been on a roller coaster in 40 years!) and I LOVED it! Can't wait to ride it again in less than 3 weeks.

Wooooooo Hooooo! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I didn't have the time to read all the posts so if this is a repeat, I'm sorry.

I have been the vocal opposition to any roller coaster all my life. The only place that I have ever ridden one is at WDW. I have ridden all of them at WDW.

My observation of Roc'n Roller is absolutely awesome. Not because it is scary but because it isn't scary. It is just fun. The "show" is great, the take-off breathtaking and the ride is silky smooth. The ride is in the dark so you don't really see what's coming. By the time the "inversions" are realized they are over. To be honest, I don't even have recollections of when they happened.

I'm going back to WDW in March and it is near the top of my "to do" list. Do it and enjoy!
:hyper: ::yes:: :upsidedow :upsidedow :laughing:
