Do you coordinate ADR's with parade/fireworks schedule?

I am just really concerned about this. I don't want to make a dining reservation for Epcot or whatever when it is a day I will be in the Magic Kingdom for a parade. How can I coordinate when there is no parade schedule out yet for September??????

Hi,

September hours will be posted around June 1. You won't be able to make ADRs until June anyway!

Yes,almost every meal is planned around balancing rides, parades, shows, fireworks and the needs and wants of the crew going.

I try to print out hours, menus and shows and let everyone pick what they really want to see, ride, eat or do and make ADRs ASAP.We even plan where we want to be when the young kids start needing a nap if we are not returning to our rooms.

We plan as a group of several families from 1 month to 1 year in advance depending on everyone's schedule with occasional spur-of-the-moment day trips.

We are also going in September. I know that I won't be able to make my ADR's until the end of June, so as of now I have a list of what days we plan to be in what park (based on MNSSHP & F&W Fest). Of course it may change a little based on Fantasmic and EMH's. We have upgraded to Deluxe Dining, so I have a list of what restaurants we want to eat at for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. As soon as the hours for Sept are announced I will be able to put everything together by the time I can call for ADR's.

Just make sure that you try to book the more popular places first (Le Cellier, Cali Grill, etc).

That's why people get nuts about the schedule coming out, as do I! We can't make set in stone plans until the schedule comes out... just keep a look out for them on June 1st.

We have California Grill, 'Ohana and Narcoossee's to plan around Hallowishes so I already know when that is and it's the same with Spoodles and Rose & Crown and Illuminations. Well that is, if Spoodles is still open.

Do the park hours, Fantasmic show times etc always come out on 1st of the month? We are going in August so will the hours be out by 12th May when I get to 90 days?

You betcha! Our ADR's for our upcoming trip all hover in and around a various amount of things - most being the firework/Fantasmic showings. And for the most part we try to build in a small window of give room in case some places are running behind and we find ourselves waiting past our original ADR time. This has worked in the past for us and hopefully this year it'll work too.

Good luck to ya.

T.

I'm in the same boat, but going late September into early October. When my ADR window opens, the October hours/schedule will not be out yet. They really need to fix this...........

I'm afraid that has always been the case. People who have a trip that crosses from month to month always have had this situation.
