Do you consider this rude? (Kind of Long)

Ironic How the reason for the unexpected visit was to drop of tickets to her cotilion.......... which according to Wbsters Dictionary is :
cotilion

n 1: a ball at which young ladies are presented to society [syn: cotillion

Maybe she needs a few more lessons before the Ball!

That's what I thought too!

Another vote for rude. REALLY RUDE.

You guys rock!

I'm usually a straight forward person and was caugth totally off guard last night. I could not get my words together to tell my Aunt how rude she and my cousin were to drop by our house at 11pm. When I called DH at work last night to let him know what happend his blood started to boil. DS (4months), althought he sleeps through the night, is a very light sleeper but is very hard to get to sleep. DD sleeps like a rock.

Thanks guys for allowing me to vent. I knew I could come here and get honest thought. :D

No doubt about it - RUDE! Reminds me of my sis, who is known to call at 6:00 AM on a Saturday and when she hears your groggy voice on the other end says, "Oh, did I wake you?" Ummm - YEAH!!!!

My rules used to be no calls between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM. But since having kids, I'm OK with 9:00 AM calls for something REALLY important.

Does this mean you only accept calls between 10pm and 10am?LOL:teeth: :p

I agree with those that said to go visit her house at 5am:teeth: I would knock and/or ring the bell until someone answered! The only reason anyone calls our house past 10pm is if there is an emergency. Of course this could cause a family issue, but it sure would be fun:p

Oh yes, I think a very early morning visit would be appropriate. You need to drop off the money anyway, and you were in the neighborhood, right? :hyper:

Sounds to me like she is one can short of a six pack!

Kim were you asleep". Now what do you think, it's 11pm, ALL of the lights are off in my house, I have two babies that are asleep, and I have to get up at 5am to go to work. "No, I'm up giving myself a home manicure and pedicure".

As Bill Engvall would say....

"Here's Your Sign" (stupid sign that is)

11pm is the absolute perfect time for a spot of tea when mom has a 4 month old baby. NOT:rolleyes: If i were you, I'd be sending my regrets for that cotillion of hers. 11pm my ****.

Thank God my closest family member is 4 hours away.

You know, I've been really thinking about not going to the cotilion because of what happend Sunday night. I don't blame my cousin for her actions I blame her mother, who should know better. If I were to tell my uncle what happened he would have a fit.

I work on Andrews Air Force Base and they live about 10 minutes away from here. I think Friday around 5:30am I will take a visit to their house ON MY WAY TO WORK w/ my children in tow.

My aunt was a school teacher at a local high school and quit working this past school year. Ever since then I don't think other peoples time who have jobs are a consideration in her mind. So Since I know she does not get out of bed until around 10ish. I think 5:30am is a perfect time to drop off the money. My kids and I are wide eye and bushy tailed by then.

Rude!!!

But on another note...I grew up in the Camp Springs area...

I live in Landover in military housing by Fed Ex Field. I don't know if you know where the Capital Center was (it's now demolished and a shopping center is now in its place).

My Aunt and cousing live in Upper Marlboro, so you know where I'm taking about.

You were absolutely right to be upset. It's not going to happen to us cause we're at least 600 miles from the nearest relative, but we do sometimes get those phone calls in that time frame. My personal rule is no phone call after 8:30 pm, and no visits after about 8 without calling first!
