We have a few fave places to eat in Disney. We are picky eaters so a lot of the places just do not appeal to us.

So for the trip this year we are doing some of the places more than once. Do you think that is crazy? Do you try out new ones even if the food does not sound good to you when you know of others you enjoy a lot?

Here is what our plan looks like right now.
(all dinners)

Day 1- Liberty Tree (first night tradition)
Day 2- Whispering Canyon
Day 3- Ohana
Day 4- Le Cellier
Day 5- Kona
Day 6- Le Cellier
Day 7- Whispering Canyon
Day 8- Kona
Day 9- Whispering Canyon
Day 10- Crystal Palace

Anyone else ever have a schedule that looks like that? :rotfl:

Any thoughts?

Also between WC, Kona and Ohana, which would you choose for an anniversary dinner??

We generally don't repeat TS restaurants on the same trip. There's lots of different places and we've found that even those that might not sound all that great do sometimes turn out to be winners for us.

We do repeat restaurants from previous trips though. We mix those in with some that we haven't tried before.

That works well for us, but of course your mileage may vary.

This is exactly what we do as well. It gives us a nice combination of familiar favorites and new experiences.

I dont think that is crazy at all. If I was going for a lenghty trip I am sure that we would repeat many places. We were at POR for a week and did breakfast there every single morning. We did dinner there about 4 times too.

years ago we'd try different restaurants each trip

but now (since we've tried everything we want) we only go to the ones we like best (narcoosees, coral reef, le cellier, sci-fi, 50s, brown derby, liberty tree tavern)

We have repeated WCC during several of our trips. I think our upcoming May trip is the only time in a few years we aren't eating at WCC twice. I do think it would be fun for you to try something new but I wouldn't choose a place if you reviewed the menu and saw nothing that you liked. Make sure to look at the lunch and dinner menus as they are usually different...my kids don't care for Tony's dinner menu as much as the lunch menu so I guess we will eat bigger at lunch that day than we normally do.

Enjoy your trip!

As you can see from my signature, my "dream" is to eat at least once in EVERY Disney Restaurant! Therefore, all of the places we have booked for our next trip (listed in my signature) will be new experiences for us! :thumbsup2

Oh yes, we love BOMA and Biergarten and do them multiple times per trip.:)

If I were going to choose one of those restaurants for an anniversary dinner - I would choose Kona. It is so lovely and the food is amazing consistently! 'Ohana is very good but it is notorious for being "hit or miss" and I would hate for you to get rubbery meat or rushed service on such a special night.

I was just talking about this w/ DH last night. He doesn't want to try Spoodles. I want to try Spoodles but I'm afraid that I'm the only one in the family that will like it. So w/ our ADRs I'm thinking of adding Chef Mickey's for dinner but then we're doing Chef Mickey's for breakfast for the first time. Don't know if I want to do that yet or not.:confused3

I think you should "try" at least one new restaurant. Even a restaurant that sounds like you wouldn't prefer the food, would more than likely have food you would enjoy.

We have introduced numerous friends to Boma and they have all been surprised by the variety.

I always try to get Le Cellier the first and last night of our trip as we love the menu, ambiance and service of the restaurant. I do try to mix it up a bit in the middle but tend to go back to WCC, Chefs de France, Alfredo's, Mama Melrose, Tony's, California Grill, Artist Point. I really need to try Sci - Fi and 50's Prime Time but have yet to be able to fit them in. The bottomline is if you go with what you like you'll never be dissappointed but you may miss out on the opportunity to add something spectacular to your list.

We do have ONE new one this trip..lol Ohana will be a first for us.

Others I have thought about are Sci-Fi, Wolfgang Puck or Tony's but the menus just do not seem to appealing. I am torn though. I would like to toss in one more new one in there. I am praying I like Ohana. The only things I eat there are the 4 skewer meats.

We have tried a few other places. We have been to Spoodles. DH liked it a lot and I thought it was ok but the menu seems to have changed and no more steak? That is what we both liked last time. We have also been to HDDR, PH (which we love but were trying to stay away from) and..hmm..one other I am forgetting. Most of what we have done we like. We are just so picky though. We are not big seafood lovers or vegetable fans at all. We do not like a lot of weird things with extras on them. We like good steaks, filets, pastas, etc..

So if anyone has any ideas of a place we may like please pass them on. :goodvibes

I was telling dh today we sure like to stick to what we love. Like with hotels. We stayed our first trip at POR and then our second at POR and now our third..yes you guessed it POR..lol

We love Magic Kingdom so we go there many times in a trip. Like 7 of our 10 days this trip will be MK days..lol

While staying at WL a few years ago, in Sept., we ate at WCC 3x. Not only did we love the food and atmosphere, it was more of a convience for us since the restaurant was in the resort. When we go to POR in June, we plan on eating at Boatwright's most of the time for breakfast, unless we are eating in a park. It's not that we don't like to eat at other places (have many ADRs at other restaurants) but it is more of a convience factor.

I think your choices sound great! Yet Whispering Canyon three times in one trip? We had a wonderful experience there back in September. Yet I could not see the experience, especially the antics, something I could do more than once per trip. Just my humbe opinion! :upsidedow

We usually do repeat trips to Rainforest Cafe on the same vacation. We also always have to hit up Cape May Cafe for dinner, Tony's for lunch, and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast.

There are always a few places that we eat every trip (LeCelliers, Ohanas, & Sci~fi) and the rest we like to try new ones!

Your family sounds a lot like mine. Most of the menus donot sound like something we would like. There have been several times that we have eaten more than once at Chef Mickey's & Crystal Palace on a trip. When we do that we normally do breakfast & dinner, not just one or the other. At least that way we are getting a semi different experience.

We love to eat at WCC but I don't think I could do it three times in one trip. Have you considered maybe trying the Hoop Dee Doo or Mickey's Backyard BBQ or even Trails End. I have heard that they are all pretty much teh same food but different experiences.

Other than Liberty Tree & Kona, which we have not eaten at, all of your choices are the places we eat at. We also enjoy Donalds Breakfastosaurus, Chef Mickey's, Beaches & Cream & Pepper Market. I would like to try Yachtsman Steakhouse and we may actually do it this summer.
