Do you believe that 1 person finished the Kitchen Sink in 9 minutes?

I saw this and was telling my DS about it and we were looking at it and saw you can do the "kitchen sink kit". That is the only way my family would enjoy it. Anyone done this????

I tried eating the Kitchen Sink by myself back in September. I wasn't going for the 9 minute record and was just hoping to finish it in an hour so I wouldn't be wasting the money. I did a few things wrong. First, I made enchiladas about 3 hours before going to Beaches & Cream so I wasn't even really hungry when I started. Also, I ordered a vanilla coke and finished 2 glasses before even getting the KS (If you've ever had any type of float you know what happens when ice cream and pop mix together) so my stomach felt like it instantly expanded after a few bites. I had a few scoops of ice cream at first and decided to get the cherries out of the way. I ate 27 cherries and the sugar from that was almost too much to bear. I needed something salty to offset it. After I did the cherries I had some more ice cream. Then I worked on the candy bars and cakes. I got over half of those done, ate some more ice cream, sat for five minutes, went and threw up, paid the bill and left.

If you frequent these boards, you'll learn that CMs make statements that are sometimes totally baseless ("...they're going to build a monorail from MCO to WDW") The CM that said someone finished one in 9 minutes, may well have been baiting to get someone to meet the challenge. This gives them something to laugh about with their roomates the next day.:earsboy:

tmi.

I saw the episode of Man vs Food where he tried the Kitchen Sink. It took him close to an hour if I remember correctly.

There was a Man vs Food Marathon day and this show was on today.

Yes he ate a Kitchen Sink, but not THE Kitchen sink at Beaches and Cream. It actually looked bigger than a B&C KS. It was two bananas a lot of jimmies and 9 scoops of ice cream and the scoops were the size of softballs.

I cannot believe that ANYONE can finish such vast amounts of food in one sitting, period :scared1:

Honestly, I'm not quite sure it's possible.

Did you know that it's IMPOSSIBLE to drink a gallon of milk in 60 minutes or less? Truly impossible. You'll throw up before reach the end. Your body can't handle it. Doesn't matter if it's whole or skim, your body can't digest it that quickly.

I can see someone doing it if they sat there all afternoon. I have trouble believing that it can be done in 9 minutes.

I have a thing about competitive eating. There are too many people in the world who can't afford to eat and Americans have turned it in to a competition. There is some thing disturbing about seeing how much food a body can handle in a short ammount of time. We have an obesity epidemic in the world, yet we are impressed by people who can eat enough ice cream for 10 people in 9 minutes? This should not be encouraged. I know it may sound strange, just one of my things.
