Do you believe in the "other side"?
Do you believe that those that have passed can contact those of us still living?
Do you believe that those that have passed can contact those of us still living through someone still living?

Wow.
I just learned of an amazing thing that happened today to someone close to me, and my mind is blown. I don't know what to say - I am utterly shocked.
Miss you J. <3

Yes.

I think there are several ways that they can communicate with us.

Yes, yes I do. I've seen and heard too much not to think that.

Oh, and if anyone wants to share if they had any instances, I would sooo appreciate it!

Absolutely I do.
My great-grandma LOVED Scrabble. It was her favorite game by far and was even mentioned at her funeral more then once! :teeth: After she died, we flew up to New York to go to her funeral and when my mom [she was my mom's grandmother] was packing our suitcases to go back home, there was a Scrabble piece at the bottom of my brother's suitcase. :goodvibes

Another one, it was before I was born. At my great-grandfather's funeral [actually my great grandma in the other story's husband] there was a total blackout when my family was sitting in the living room. My grandma was trying to find her way upstairs, and she saw one light shining. She followed it and it was my great-grandfather's flashlight, just sitting there turned on! :goodvibes My grandma told me this story, she also said when she picked up the flashlight she thanked him. :)

My friend, who is my age, lost her dad two years ago. She says she feels his presence often and he talks to her in her dreams sometimes. :) I completely believe her.

According to my grandma, when my grandpa died when I was four, I told her that he helped me rehearse lines for a play we were doing in pre school. That Christmas Eve, she let go of a white balloon before she went to bed. I woke up the next day and was telling her all of my presents. Halfway through the list, I told her that my grandpa said he got the white balloon, and just kept ranting.

I have a friend who told me that he was able to speak with the dead. I was a little weary at first, but then he told me that he sensed a prescence next to me. To my right. He then went on to describe my deceased great aunt of five years whom he never met. He described her to the T. It's ironic - I've felt her prescence from time to time, always on the right, never on the left.

Then, at our confirmation retreat, we got bored. (Me and the same friend.) So, we decided to see if he could get in contact with my grandpa. I asked him a few questions, but I don't remember the answers. I do remember, though, that he told us that we should probably get back to listening to the speaker. So we said bye. Few seconds later, we got yelled at to pay attention.

So, yes, I absolutely believe.

No.... I don't think that we can contact the dead, or they can contact us.

I dont belive in ghosts or the dead being able to come back in there humanly form but I do belive the dead can communicate with us

For fear of this becoming a religious thread, i decline to comment.

I didn't intend for it to be religious at all. Just a blank "Do you believe or not". Just a yes or no, you don't have to go into specifics.

Yes, I believe. There's too many accounts/EVPS/other 'proof' of people coming in contact with something for me to think otherwise.

I don't believe in an afterlife, but I do have a version that I would like to believe in.
I had a conversation with Shelby about this once, and she helped me figure out what I wish heaven were.
But with my entire lack of a system of beliefs, I kind of... don't think there's anything after. I hope there is, and I want one... but yeah.

Does anyone believe that the dead can communicate with us in our dreams?

Yes I do.
I believe that we can contact the dead and they can contact us.
After my neighbor died, who my family was semi-close to..we had quite a bit of experiences..especially when we went up to WDW.
I think those who believe, usually end up getting contacted or see a ghost/spirit/angel/etc.

Nooo I have to say I don't really.
I've gone back and forth throughout my life, but at this point in my life I don't believe.
I don't have a reason to, as I've never had any experiences to make me believe, so I don't. Maybe if I have some sort of experience I might be swayed, but I think that a lot of that stuff is all up to interpretation really. People believe what they want to. (not trying to offend anyone who does believe....we all have our reasons)

I'd love more than anything else to believe in an afterlife, but (unfortunately for me) my mind just doesn't think that way. So, I guess I do and I don't.

I believe (and this is going to sound cliche) that my dead family members look over me. I don't know how it works, but it's just how I...feel? They try and remind me of things and help me make good decisions.

A few days after my uncle died, after the funeral and everything, I finally let myself feel it. I just kept everything in for all that time to be there for my other family members.

Well one day, I just went outside so I could be alone and let it take me over. I sat outside begging my uncle to forgive me for not saying goodbye, telling him how much I missed him already and how much I loved him. Literally, I was talking to him. Of course he didn't respond, but I just felt him there, like he was telling me that everything was okay.

Sometimes I'll here his voice in my head, making a joke about something.

So, I honestly don't know. It's an extremely grey area for me.

um. i dont believe that it is actually the dead communicating. i have other views on what it is...
