Do ya'll vacation ANYWHERE else?? Pre-Trip Report!

Hi everybody!

I've been reading these boards for years and I've always wanted to do a trip report but I've never found the time! But this time around I'm determined to actually do one! But it's my first so don't be too judgmental... thanks!

I'll start by introducing the cast of characters. This won't take long, as there are only two of us!

Up first there's me Our upcoming trip in September will be to celebrate my 21st birthday . That's all I have to say about that except that there couldn't be a better way to spend your birthday than at WDW!

And then... there is my DBF - 27, going on 13. He loves Stitch, all three MK "Mountains" and the DDP. YAY FREE DINING!!

Our trip (after being changed many, many times) is now set for September 9-16th. My 21st is the 8th, but DBF doesn't see how this trip will celebrate my birthday... I asked him to tell everyone that he talked to (Disney-wise) about our reservations that it was my birthday... but no. I just wanted a little extra Disney magic, is that so wrong???

We are still undecided about our hotel. Yes... we still haven't made those ressies. Right now, it is a toss up between staying 7 nights at the CSR or doing a 4/3 split stay between the CSR and the Poly or the BC. Has anyone else done this? I feel like doing a split stay would be a pain, luggage wise. I know that they'll pick them up and drop them off for you while you're at the parks, but you still have to pack everything up yourself! TWICE! This just seems time-consuming. Am I wrong?

These ressies have to be made soooonnn... by Sunday! Any opinions here would be appreciated

For now, I have to get back to work. Yes... I'm at work . Aren't we all??

On our trip in 2005 we did a split stay with an almost 5 year old. We did 2 nights POR then2 nights AKL and it was very easy. I say go for it....

We are doing BCV in November!!
